You are though it’s just acting she was not in the wrong Twink he is a grown woman and if she wanted to sell her songs to do something nice for herself she had every right to do so most of the sisters were following their mother dream got their own. And yes the Clark sisters are an amazing female group and because of their mother that is who they are today but a lot of these family groups a lot of them are forced just like the anointed pace sisters love you and I did not want to sing they wanted to go to law school someone out to be a doctor so I wanted to be a nurse so I wanted to be something else but they were forced just because you can sing doesn’t mean you’re supposed to be a gospel Artist.

Danté P. Watching this scene really made me realize that...their parents (with extreme good reason) forgot that they were still children handling very adult situations. So when they make mistakes as ms Clark did in this scene...they were penalized to the degree of an adult and they truly didn’t understand the magnitude of what was done because they were blinded by the glitz and glamour of things as a child would be...so when they have the world including their families coming down on them thinking they should know better...they truly didn’t. So this scene taught me a very big lesson about great entertainers that were pushed into the industry as children

And my mom is in a nursing home for the rest of her life for being stubborn about her health too!! I wish they did listen then they wouldn't be where they are now! Twinkie wrote all the songs played the organ for her mom pretty much gave up her childhood just like what Denise said. She was the only one that had Denise back. I know, who would've known Twinkie would make a mistake like that? She was always seemed like the mature and levelheaded one. Not judging at all, I'm just shocked. And also everyone acted like she made the worst decision of her life. I felt so bad for her.

@@King82005 , I'm sure at the time, Twinkie didn't view it as a mistake, she was just looking out for herself by rewarding herself with a car. The comments made by Jacky and Dorinda were selfish and instagative. Dr. Mattie, though a little harsh was trying to convey a lesson to Twinkie...it was almost like giving her birthright away. I rather had Dr. Mattie Moss Clark holler at me about the loss millions and millions of dollars in the years to come.

i meant I'd rather have Dr. Mattie Moss Clark holler at me NOW, than lose milllions of dollars down the road. The lesson here is Never give away anything that you have worked so hard for.

@@CityfrontDoorStaff you better break it down, well said, you can't get caught up in the moment of excitement & kill your future, Twinkie knew church but she didn't know the business side of the entertainment field, & Dr Clark loved her girls & didn't want them to be taken advantage of or to get hurt in this business, back in the day, the groups would pack a place out & while they are singing on stage, the promotor is easing out the back door with the rest of the money & u didn't get paid, that's why some groups say pay us 1/2 before they come & the balance before they sing, it's a business, it's different when u sing at your home church, but when u become a professional you must take care of business

This part of the movie was very sad for me because it shows how important it is for musician to have a business education no matter what genre they are in.

I don’t think it just goes with having a business education it also goes with having common sense because why would you sell a full catalog of songs you’ve spent countless hours writing in exchange for a car that’s either gone break down over the years of having it or possibly going to get wrecked in a car accident

In those days, money could do so much for ppl. Not only that she was constantly working on her gospel and being so young she felt she deserved something nice. Although this would’ve cost her so much, it was a moment for her to feel rewarded

Good God this scene is so powerful. If this scene is even remotely close to reality, these actresses prove that there is truly some black talent out there! All of these women played this to perfection!

Oh my my my, this movie is going to be something powerful. Mother Mattie Moss Clark didn't play the radio. As soon as I saw that Actress with those glasses, I knew who she was immediately. I remember growing up and seeing Mother Mattie Moss Clark sit over on the right hand side with the other mother's in the corner of the church. Her presence and personality always stood out. She was over the music department. It was the look on her face that didn't play, it made you get in line or else, and I was very young and still remember her. She was a member of Walker Memorial Church of God in Christ, in Miami, Florida. I am super excited and can't wait to see this movie. May God continue to bless you all for producing this memory. You all are truly mighty and anointed singers in the Lord. I love you all and may this Inspired movie open up many, many, more opportunities for you all.

mothers in the church>?? What does that mean? The bible does not call women the mothers of or in the church. Why do people make this stuff up. God calls prophets, pastors, teachers and others into the ministry. What the heck is a mother in the church?
