Generally the coinage of George III can be described as weird and sporadic. To fill in the gaps, many private trade tokens were produced in copper or bronze, and also quite a few forgeries of official copper coins which were not much better than tokens themselves. The Bank of England produced silver tokens. What we now call Maundy money was in use in the early part of the reign for small change. Foreign coins could be overstruck. Three labourers might share one golden guinea between them for their week’s wages.

Excellent video, until now was only familiar with half the KGIII coin types minted. You should reupload this video in 1080p as 360p quality doesn't do it justice.
