I have my thoughts why instructions are difficult but I will keep them in the safe for now. Yes it’s that simple, motion which is in balance and allows the forces to work on an object the correct way allows for all those positions we have been taught to occur naturally without thought. If you have to think to create a position to move keep coming back because Momma needs a new pair of shoes. Thanks Rick

Makes perfect sense! I’ve been doing a lot of this (more, probably, from trial and error over time) and knowing I’ve been sooo close for sooo long but not always understanding why it was working so well when it was working well. It was because the forces were in alignment with the club! Duh! Now that I am understanding this better I can be more consistent … No doubt! I really like the mental idea of the club flipping on itself. And then always get the hips clearing before the club comes through! Getting to the top and just leaving the club there while you start (turning) down I find very helpful. And another little thing that helps me is when I’m at the top, FEELING like my spine starts to point toward the target just a little bit. It’s kinda like a raring back that little bit extra (only no one could see this, it’s just a feeling). It’s really really coming together more and more Bill because I am understanding better why it works when it works. What I’ve done too is take countless chip shots and half shots making sure the turning of my hips towards the target is preceding the club coming through. This really helps (me) in the full swing. When I’m coming down toward the ball, I also like how the butt of the handle is aiming right at the ball. (You can kinda see this in your peripheral vision.) How it flips from there and smashes the ball is just the biggest mystery. 😂

It never has been hard Craig. We have always been taught to control the club in different position in different points in space. Well that is true but is only required to start the club in motion, after that we just let the club go where it naturally wants to go as we use our instincts to balance the task using the forces that are in line with the shaft. Result, free swinging club with very little effort. More effort only adds force to the club that isn’t in line with the shaft, that effort which is not needed gives us a day of struggle. No more struggle if you understand what I’m trying to convey in this vid. As simple as it Can get without worrying about positions. Positions are created by good motions which we all fall short recognizing. We spend worthless time to learn positions that’s why we struggled all our golfing careers. Never think positions , just motion.

Hi Bill congratulations. You definitely unlocked thé Ayers code. For me I use my trail little finger as I pin point to wind up my body and feel as if I am throwing the angular momentum of my club head over my trail shoulder for fantastic potential energy that my wind up body can easily transmit kinetic energy to my club head directly to and through my ball. I feel like I am a baseball batter to my ball as well as and infield underhanded thrower all rolled up in one. 😂Cheers 👍😃⛳️🥂

Bill you are correct sir, hate to keep bringing Bobby Jones up but he starts with cupped lead wrist and starts the handle first, this gets you to the top in a perfect position. You explained what martin couldn't or maybe wouldn't. Keep them coming im all in because i learned from Bobby jones and you are demonstrating exactly what he does. Admittedly bobby had a longer swing,he crosses the line at top but in a perfect position. I can't go that far but dont need to, its a very powerful and repeatable swing. One motion. One direction.

Marcus with Zen gives you a very nice presentation of exploring the golf swing . Take a peek, your recognize most all of it . I would bet most golfer do not have the ( Action parts ) ankles , knees and hips, torso , so ( the reaction) of the shoulders arms and hands club Frees up all of what your saying . kzitem.info/news/bejne/tICrn6B9sHudnGk Cheers my friend .

It was mentioned one time on page 17 of “Five Lessons” to demonstrate the simplicity with which an explanation of the golf swing should be made; LIKE YOU JUST DID! I would note that when you fling the base back in this manner, the club will feel weightless and the swing feels effortless when you knock the bejeebers out of the ball.

This isn't new information, just forgotten in the golf world. Ernest Jones told us this 100 years ago in his book swing the clubhead. He said the swing the club with your hands, do not apply leverage (which you describe as applying force). The body responds to the swinging of the clubhead.

I wish that Ayers would use much simpler language! Instead of Apex and Base-why not just clubhead and grip. And I still don't understand his vector. His swing system, though, is brilliant.
@Wooduck
4 ай бұрын
I won’t even go into vector pat, I understand it but I don’t think it adds anything to the method. Let me just say as an example, it’s the part of the motion when you want to gather all you have gathered and as a professional diver you want to enter the water with as much force as possible making the least amount of ripples. Don’t worry about it we ain’t divers. Just stick to what I e tried to show which are simple concepts that each and everyone of us can do as humans. I’m retired from instructing, what I mean by that is simple there are no more instructions necessary than what I’ve shown, but repeating them over and over in vids isn’t new it’s just a broken record that people should listen to and watch until they have it. I’m retired but not done with spinning the broken record.

i watch you a lot. i really enjoy because i can understand what you are saying. will you please explain how the club can swing freely and we don't have to apply any force. if we don't apply any force how does the club reverse course from the top and apply any power what so ever. i heard you say one time that someone said you let your arms fall. you said that was stupid. you drive your arms down. well isn't that force? not trying to be a smartass just trying to understand how to hit it without hitting it.
@Wooduck
Жыл бұрын
Applying force must be in a straight line abs. Any side to side force instead of up and down force is not in a straight line which is defined as the line from the club head, shaft arms which points to the center of mass is the desired objective. Pushing on the side of the shaft is side to side. So in short the faster you can move your arms down from the top of your swing and the turning of the upper body to get the club back out in front of you creates the speed we all are looking for. Our arms are connected to our shoulders which are ball and sockets which move up and down not side to side which applies unwanted force On the shaft because we aren’t moving how are body is designed. Hope that helped!
@abs828

@@Wooduck yes it help a lot. i guess the only thing you need to sync up is the dropping of the arms and turning. i guess that is the part where you lead it then from the top it leads you?? right?
@Wooduck
Жыл бұрын
@@abs828 most people start the turning of the chest to get back to the ball, thus, putting force on the side of the shaft and the good ole over the top is born. When you turn on the backswing there should be a triangle which is formed by the hands and elbows. The club and hands need to be in the middle of the triangle which is also the middle of the chest. All that is needed from that position is push the hands straight down which lines the club and arms to be in a straight line. Now just turn back to the ball while your arms and club continue to drop to the ground. Yep it requires timing which you can teach yourself to do with practice and simply DOING. I don’t believe the lead arm needs to be straight either just let it fold as the trail arm folds, there’s your triangle and leverage for a faster moving club head.
