Yup, I've always thought golf instructors make the golf swing more difficult than it is, and this keeps them employed for the long term. Dan Alton tells the truth about it. It's not that hard. It's all momentum - not swinging hard. There's no such thing as "holding the lag". It's all about releasing the club head. Glad to see your videos.

You & Dunn Golf are on the same page Bill. Your instructions work my man! When I swing the handle and release my wrists sooner before my saggital plane I’ve noticed greater distance & higher trajectory than compared to my older swing in which I was dragging the handle. Great vid!

Thanks Neal, and we all have been instructed to pull the handle, lag and all that other garbage. Just keep your hands inside the ball and the turning point will happen on its own without thought.

With my one length irons the ball is played about a ball forward from the center of me. Wedges are a ball back of center and 3 wood and driver just inside my lead heel.

What ever happened to your base to apex swing? Was that a failure?
@Wooduck

@@robertseiser7511 that’s ok Robert, just go to the newest vids and I’m sure you will see that the orbiting golf club is the only way to go. Many of the vids I put up over the years were things I thought might help people to get better, now I’m convinced that the traditional way of instruction is worthless. The old way dealt with a club that changed direction the apex base swing you referenced is by far the most consistent way for us amateurs to play this game. Check out the newest vids and you won’t have to go back very far from my last vid to get the entire method and exactly how to perform the motion. The twirl or the changing of ends on the back swing is the meat of this method and anyone can do it. Nothing new it’s been done before but never taught by the gurus of the PGA for good reasons which you will understand once you get into it. Knudson and players like Count Yogi knew what we are exposing in these vids but was never accepted by the industry. Give it a look and I’m sure you will find it to be much easier than the same ole same ole we have been taught over the years. Welcome to the channel and if I can help just ask I’m more than willing to help those who are seeking a better way. Thanks and no harm no foul on this end. Have a great week!!’

Anything and everything in the beginning is a theory. It only becomes fact when one can perform the task or prove to themselves it is a fact through knowledge and doing. Evolution is a theory because i have yet to see a monkey turn into a man and that’s a fact!!! A myth is an animal of a different color.

I noticed when i use only right arm to hit the ball from turning point my club pulls me through and i hook the ball. What Am I doing wrong?
@Wooduck
7 ай бұрын
Doesn’t surprise me Mitt. I did the same thing when I first started hitting the turning point. The secret for me was get the handle or my hands even with the ball and let the club come out naturally to the path and ball. The hands need to come down and into you for it to work, at least that is what I found. When you use the trail arm and hand too soon in the transition it closes the club face and here we go left with a hook or pulled hook. Make since?

This works. A similar instructor calls it the hands "fold point".

Thanks 8012 and yes it does. My question to you is if it works why isn’t it more prevalent than it is? You have proven to yourself it’s not theory it’s fact, yet it’s a hidden jewel that can help people to become better fast. Would you say as I did that anyone can do this? So simple but so far away from the public golfer, go figure!!’ Thanks I much appreciate your comment, your in the know!!

@@Wooduck Yep. Its hard to explain in words I now wear out the sweet spot on my clubs. And it is so easy (after a lot of practice) once you learn to hinge in the back swing at the fold/turning point the release at the same turning point while turning back through. Key is it is NOT a big turn neither back or through. Like you 45degree indicates. Becomes robotic. Release on the trail side while you turn. Just like you say.
