How I miss The Corries! I was a teenager in the 70s when I first discovered their music and still love it very much today. Their music inspired my generation to discover our roots and history and to be proud of who we are. Roy's passing was a real loss to Scotland, and Ronnie's still doing amazing things, but through their inspiring music The Corries are an amazing part of Scots history. Thanks guys, you helped to shape who I am today!

I was born in 1967 and remember growing up listening to the Corries as you did my friend. My Dad played their music every weekend. My Dad also loved Scotland and it’s history,he also climbed most of her mountains,he brought my sisters and me up to be proud of our roots and proud to be Scottish.”We will never see their likes again”🏴

Legendary. The Corries have become embedded in the very fabric of Scotland. If I was away from home this is a sound that would make Me homesick.

It is on the shore of Loch Linnhe, near Fort William.

Really? I did a Loch cruise there last summer. This looks like the stretch going towards the tour boat dock. That would make sense if they were not out in a boat, and from the clothes it doesn't look like it. It's all built up now.

@@Arkybark Looks like the location is closer to Corran rather than Fort William. The Google Earth link below shows the rough view from the road (A861) - not much looks to have changed in the past 50 or so years. Mountains at 01:49 are Beinn a Bheither near Glencoe village. earth.google.com/web/@56.75105469,-5.23138208,17.51922798a,0d,60.05342157y,147.13401353h,98.59227417t,0r/data=IhoKFjdwb1pWY0tURE5BY3RVMXFOS2xjbGcQAg

Under the new Google system we can't reply directly to comments made before the changeover so this is in response to Kinlochbervie50. Query Ronnie Browne via his son Gavin at corries.com or on his Corries Website FB page. Seems like Ronnie would know where it was filmed. Don't know if the "hills of Ardmorn" are real or imagined!

Roy at his very best. For Ronnie at his best, search Jamie Raeburn.
