If you look closely in the middle right past the throne you can kinda see the pedal that operated the snare strainer on this snare.

Well I'm assuming you never saw this DVD with the commentary. So here it goes... He said that this was actually one of the first time he played this song front to back (this DVD was recorded literally after they have finished recording the album). And he stated that he realized that he couldn't play in its entirety because it was written in pieces and recorded in pieces too. So they had to record it for the DVD in pieces too and you can clearly see he messes up in a lot of parts. When he releases the drum dvds for the albums, yes, it's all pieces from different takes chosen and glued. Other than that I don't think he does that... In his DVD in constant motion all the music he plays is one take. I mean he probably did a lot of takes but you don't see nothing glued. He used the best take for the DVD

I love shit like this. I find it a blast to watch the dynamics of the footwork. I'd could watch the making of an entire CD and watch only footwork. What a master. I would like to see Tony Royster Jr's footwork. Great video but I couldn't finish it cause it started to get off sync. I can NOT watch a music video when the video plays slower than the song.
