@@Exclusive1011111111 Going off My Love acoustic, Jess sounds like she(accidently wrote he) has more testosterone, or smokes and drinks/can fight--a deep/smoky timbre. Her voice sometimes trembles country western style (when she sings "myy love") and is so perfect it almost sounds like autotune, but it's not as uniquely dynamic as Amy's here. Amy goes from strong to soft, fast to slow, shouting to talking at the drop of a dime. They're very different singers so it's a matter of taste.

I saw a comment on another video that said "Amy doesn't deserve a movie/documentary about herself. We shouldn't praise a "crackhead drunk". And comments like "Glad that junkie is dead", "She killed herself who cares" etc etc. To which I asked, what makes Amy any less of a person than the likes of Cobain, Whitney, MJ, Elvis, etc? Were they not drug users as well? Oh but wait, she glorified her lifestyle right? So she's worse? Wrong and wrong again. She was just a lost girl trying to find her way, getting ridiculed for her personal decisions, and harassed by the media. If that "lifestyle" doesn't push a person to that point(drug use and/or losing one's self), then I truly don't know what will. I'm just devastated at how people can still slander her even after she has died, like she hasn't received enough hatred already. It doesn't make any sense to me. Because no human is perfect and I'll be damned if you're "holier than thou" yourself, if you can easily shit on someones grave like that. Besides, the woman's voice was angelic as FUCK. How can you not praise THAT? R.I.P. Amy, you're forever loved and missed! ❤

Valerie Song by Amy Winehouse Well sometimes I go out by myself And I look across the water And I think of all the things, what you're doing And in my head I paint a picture 'Cause since I've come on home, Well my body's been a mess And I've missed your ginger hair And the way you like to dress Won't you come on over Stop making a fool out of me Why don't you come on over Valerie? Valerie Valerie Valerie Did you have to go to jail, Put your house up for sale, did you get a good lawyer? I hope you didn't catch a tan, I hope you'll find the right man who'll fix it for ya And are you shopping anywhere, Changed the color of your hair, are you busy? And did you have to pay that fine You were dodging all the time, are you still dizzy? 'Cause since I've come on home, Well my body's been a mess And I've missed your ginger hair And the way you like to dress Won't you come on over Stop making a fool out of me Why don't you come on over Valerie? Valerie Valerie Valerie Well sometimes I go out by myself And I look across the water And I think of all the things, what you're doing And in my head I paint a picture 'Cause since I've come on home, Well my body's been a mess And I've missed your ginger hair And the way you like to dress Won't you come on over Stop making a fool out of me Why don't you come on over Valerie? As an addict who has been clean off of opiates for almost 9 years it kills me to see her in this state since I know that she is suffering from withdrawal and try to fight off the sick for just a few more days/hours so she can be free of its grips. She sang as effortlessly as we speak and her her voice was so gritty and real. The world was robbed of yet another beautiful, talented person and addiction is to blame. Simply AMAZING! That was one of the greatest voices we'll never see in this world. So incredibly full, deep and heartfelt from an 'almost' perfect artist that lived for music and died with it. Love you Amy 4ever, hope people could keep going out by themselves and, when looking across the water, see your heart and your music.

What a voice. Seriously. It doesn't even look like she's trying that hard to sound that amazing. I could listen to her all day. Oh wait, I already am. I'm incredibly sad that there will be no more music from her. So many chills.

Since the first time I heard her voice I knew her flame wasn't going to burn long. But it burned so god damn bright!! I literally stopped dead in my tracks and went up to the window this song was playing from to ask the girl inside what and who the hell that was. She was definitely a rare being put on this earth to show the beauty that can still come from music. Even if that beauty smelled of cigarettes and booze. Thanks Amy R.I.P.

+Charles B I heard her voice for the first time at a resort in the Dominican Republic. Her music was playing at the bar, and my dad said, "wow, listen to this song, I have to find out who this is, she's amazing". Then he asked a staff member. When we returned home we had bought all of her albums. Wow I miss her :(

Charles B I also remember where I was when I first heard her. it was on my best friend's house in a random music channel and I just fell in love with her voice, it wasn't even a more famous song but "wake up alone ", still one of my favorites after all this time

Charles B yes brother. beautifully put. I was cleaning my house and MTV was on in the background. they cut to commercial and played You Know I'm No Good and I stopped was I was doing. Something had just made love to my ears. I was like who is that and how can I get more. I looked her up bought the record and it was the best thing id heard. I didn't know she was British at first. I was mad that I didn't know about the Frank album until after B2B. I love that album even more. Wish we could have gotten more music. She is my all time fav artist, even over MJ. Ever since that day, I was hooked. RIP AMY JADE
