He was born on April 19, 1935, in Dagenham, Essex, England, and started his career as a jazz pianist before transitioning to comedy. Moore became well known for his work with fellow comedians Peter Cook and Jonathan Miller, with whom he formed the comedy group Beyond the Fringe. He also appeared in several films, including "10," "Arthur," and "Micki + Maude," and was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in "Arthur." Moore was a versatile performer who was beloved for his sharp wit, physical comedy, and musical talents. He passed away on March 27, 2002, at the age of 66.
