Great summary! I remember being super salty when charge turning exploits were patched, super excited when the Tide Turner came out, and then super salty again when the Tide Turner could no longer do crits. Demoknight's power level has basically been a rollercoaster, going up and down all the time. At least now I learned to sort of master the Tide Turner and have fun with it, regardless of crits. Funny thing. In the Tide Turner video I'm making, there's a part where I review the history of the charge turning bugs and how that eventually resulted in the Tide Turner. Odd coincidence! That's what I get for taking too long to finish it I guess LMAO I'll finish what I'm doing (eventually) and then probably leave a link for people to watch your video, if they want to learn the history of all the other weapons.

One dies to two pipes with anything but the Targe, one does not. 150 Is an incredibly important breakpoint in TF2 as _most_ things reach that number in one or two shots, whereas most things ends up needing 3 shots to deal 160 and higher. Not trying to be an asshole, just clarifying It and why it is probably one of the most important breakpoints in the game (101+ #1, 151+ #2, 201+ #3, 301 #4) and being under that number, gameplay wise, makes you just about as squishy as a _scout._ Most things that would kill a Scout (2 pills sniper headshot 2 rockets scatter+scatter 2 stickies Pyro's shotgun+shotgun potentially Axtinguisher minicrit+hit etc etc etc) will also kill a 148 effective HP Demoman.

Honestly, I feel the Demoknight himself has a... pretty high skill necessity to be used even remotely succesfully. I can barely charge without getting immediately gunned down, even less so actually get a hit, nevermind a kill. Me being generally not good with melee doesn't help matters much. And I dunno if it's just me getting mostly Demoknight-related weaponry, but I'm pretty sure those make up most of Demoman's arsenal, or at least a large part. ...Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it makes regular Demomen way more situational and unviable. Maybe my opinion would be different if I joined TF2 back at his peak, maybe it would be different if I kept practicing, but it really makes me feel _something_ when everyone just praises Demoknight without bringing up what I believe are crucial flaws. ...Then again, that _is_ the purpose of the video, but still.

Play demoknight not like a heavy with a head on confrontation with multiple enemy’s but like scout picking 1v1 fights we’re you get the kill without charging depending on heads 3 and 2 heads you don’t charge to get kills unless it’s a high health class but use it as an escape device to get a kill and run to health pack and make them follow you into. Your team and territory and keep getting those 1 on 1 fights if someone challenges you to a melee depending on who they are and skill you want to play it super safe baiting them then swinging with your scout like speed it would be easy and considering the melee range which is about 2 scouts apart TLDR play like a scout don’t go for melee duels on crit servers use charge as a helper for high health classes and as an escape device and bait them into coming to you the more you go for them the more control they have since your going into enemy territory

I would not complain if that sword would guarantee a crit when you land a shield bash at least. 2. Lock n load with 20% more damage to buildings than 20% more damage overall. It's honestly hard enough to aim and time the shot against the opponent even with the projectle speed because if you miss, there is no splash damage.

Demoknight is not a subclass it's a class. Demo is a superclass and I'm it there is classes Demoman and Demoknight, Demoknight has the 2 subclasses caberknight and hybrid knight. Demoman has 3 subclasses demospam, Demopan, and demoflight

The fact Demomen got a super overpowered Chargin Targe PLUS the Eyelander and STILL lost against the Soldiers... Y'all never deserved the gunboats lol.

I really find it funny how even if it contradicts the class, it makes the most sense on Demoman. Like, think about it... he drinks enough alcohol to call charging at his enemies expected behavior.

I like how they're is always a grace period where something is crazy overpowered. It gives TF2 this very alive and chaotic feel. Im playing Darktide right now. And people complained about it being unfinished when it came out. But the latest update adds massive amounts of talents and specializations for all classes. And I kind of like that sort of development in games.

The constant screaming caused by demo with tide turner makes him sound like a berserker

My favorite are of Demoknight is still with the old caber. The worst option for longevity, but easily the most fun weapon I've ever used in tf2.

I think they chose demoman for a good reason. Imagine hearing medic scream or scout scream every 5 seconds. Sheesh.

19:31 You could see the fear in the Scout's eyes. Slowly backing away as he hoped he would not have gotten killed by the absolute BEAST you called the Demoknight. And that's why Demoknight is my favorite Sub-class.

I don't even know if demo*knight* is a can be considered a subclass when demo*man* has near equal weapon choices than this subclass Demoknight: Melee: Eyelander, Half-Zatoichi, Persian Persuader, Claidheamh mòr, Skullcutter (Bottle and Pain Train might count?) Primary: Booties Secondary: Chargin' Targe, Splendid Screen, Tide Turner Total: 9 (11 counting the bottle and Pain Train) Demoman: Melee: Pain Train, Bottle (Maybe the Half-Zatoichi and skullcutter) Primary: Grenade Launcher, Iron Bomber, Loose cannon, Loch 'n' Load, B.A.S.E Jumper Secondary: Stickybomb, Quickiebomb, Resistance Total: 10 (12 including ) Hybrid Knight is its own thing, I'm not gonna count everything

Maaaan... This was so nice and detailed, it reminded me of the good old days when I was a kid with no responsibility ... I do remember how broken the Persian persuader was for the amo healing and how salty I was when other demos had the tide turner, compared to my charging targe, haha, but hey, I also remember the times when I got knocked out for a couple a seconds because of a baseball so that's also a thing that used to happen, haha, papa bless ye lad and good luck to each and every other demoknight out there

Using the splendid screen and the skullcutter is fun, it forces scouts to not sneak up behind you unless they want to be hit by a bash and crit.
