Fear is a feelings, fear is a emotion, fear response comes from sensing danger, fear is the body way of protecting itself. How can one overcome fears? I'm really scared of investing.

Great Job Arvabelle. We worked in investment banking firms for 15 years and were still fearful when we started investing. Fear is natural but it shouldn't stop you from starting to invest. Educate yourself. We like investing in good companies and for the long term. This was our method for reaching financial independence.

One of the advantage of investing small is You have a manageable cushion when things went good or bad. Which you can learn on. Or create plan. ~one with small investment.

Funny thing, investing. Whatever you decide, buy or sell, there's a 100% chance that it's a Momentarily wrong decision. That is, you just cannot buy at The Bottom, nor sell at The Top. It's just human nature that we want to be Correct in decisions. But it's the Trend that's important, not the to-the-penney figure of the moment of the transaction. You just have to jump on (or off) the escalator and ride (assuming you've done your homework). And if you've sold, remove the equity from your watch list, to try to avoid investor's remorse, if it still goes up. Of course you can always re-buy. So much mental stuff.

Thank you for sharing these valuable ideas and advices! 🤝 I've been using Robinhood since 2018, but I only started to really get into to in March 2020. 🤔 I also invest on Cash App (stocks & bitcoin), Acorns, Stash, Betterment, M1 Finance, Webull and now Public.com. Just like you've mentioned above, I've learned to set some money aside just for investing and don't think about loss. Losing makes it easier to make better investment decisions. 😌 The U.S. Department of Education needs to add Financial Literacy in school curricula nationwide from pre-K to college, and beyond. Thanks again. 👏 Keep up the excellent investing reviews with the KZitem community. 🤝

Maybe look into paper trading/simulation trading. Some brokerages let you sign up for simulation accounts where you aren't actually using real money. It's a good way to practice and learn their platforms.

@@Arvabelle this is such good advice for the amount of people that are trading frivolously on robinhood. I wait a full year until I started investing. I spent all that time learning from the greatest investor and how to run a business before I invested in any.Your mindset changes when you learn about money and realize 1 million dollars isn't hard to achieve.

@Arvabelle

If the stock has low liquidity (low volume of trading), technically yes that could be possible. However if you're going for quality stocks, there will usually be someone somewhere willing to buy. It just may not be for the price you want 100% of the time.

Because it is going to be bad... really bad. Buy food food food now!!!! Now is not the time to invest. Maybe in three years but not now trust me. Stick with cash and wait.
