Very few mechanics would ever think of bad water pump impeller clearances being the reason why an engine overheats. Old guys like Tony have a lot to teach if we just take the time to listen.

Thanks, Jeff. Tony's reputation preceeds him. I thought Tony was just some funky local machinist in your videos. As it turns out, he is very well known in vintage car circles. The Flying Dutchman is THE man if you need any 1900-1980 water pump rebuilt.

With the care Tony gives a pump, it will last a hundred years! I never thought I would see anyone blueprint a water pump for an old Chevy six, but that's what he did. Amazing guy and one of a dying breed. And why not mix JB Weld on paint can lids? They are free, plentiful and disposable. As well as being easier to hang onto than a chunk of cardboard. Hope to see more of Tony in the future.

I went it ford and bought a "factory" motorcraft pump for my 7.3 diesel since I didn't want a Chinese junk one and I paid double for ford one.... Guess what...when I opened the box from ford it was the same made in China stamped on it pump !!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????? Wtf!!!! This is a crisis in auto parts world now....try to find anything not made here besides the Chinese take out food...Communist China by the way. I hope Trump puts a huge import tax and cancels NAFTA... Then we will guys like this to rebuild pumps like back in the day. I used to be a machinist in the 1980s...at a party millennial kid thought that this was meant fixing typewriters....lol!
