Extended footage from the BSV kill at Pelsham Farm shown by Channel4 exclusive feature - • Exclusive footage show...
On a wet and windy 4th of December 2023 the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Hunt met at Elm Farm in Yenston, Somerset. Numerous foxes were hunted including this one that was brutally killed at Pelsham Farm, Buckhorn Weston. Dorset Police are investigating and we hope charges will be brought soon.
When the British Hound Sports Association (BHSA) found out it was being broadcast on Channel 4, they suspended the hunt and made the following statement to the news channel:
The BHSA are aware of the content of footage taken on 4th December. As a consequence the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Hunt and all BHSA members within the Hunt were suspended from all hunting activities on 24th January pending further investigation. The incident has been referred to the Hound Sports Regulatory Authority who will open a disciplinary inquiry."
As yet there has been no statement on their website or social media.

We'd hoped the drone would act as a deterrent and stop them hunting the fox. Unfortunately they were making so much noise themselves and so engrossed in hunting the poor fox that they don't notice until it's too late. At the end of the footage as the huntsman watches the dogs tear apart the fox, the hunt master comes up to him and appears to warn him about the drone - you see him look up and then they both ride away.
Sabs half a mile away knew instantly they had killed as the huntsman blew the horn call for a kill along with celebratory whoops. We had positioned ourselves in a place where fox's often run to from that area. Unfortunately we didn't account for the flooding which cut off the fox's escape in that direction. We made a mistake and are very sorry that we were unable to save this fox.
