It really is unfair that these don't get more views. This is vastly ahead of anything on "Channel Awesome" or most other sites. In-depth, entertaining, and well-put together. And it covers a subject few others cover on KZitem or Blip.

I came across your Carmen Sandiego review some time ago, thanks to Linkara, and found your concept to be quite amusing and fitting. What better way to discuss classic game shows than via Quantum Leap-esque time travel. Also props for using a Worlds of Wonder Lazer Tag Starlite for your sidearm. That was a nice touch by the way. Overall I found your show to be quite informative and entertaining. So much so that I marathon-ed it, subscribing in the process. I like many, look forward to your next episode, whenever in the timeline that may be. Cheers!

Hey there. I stumbled upon these videos after watching Black Nerd react to the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie news. That of course led me to your first review, and I've now watched them all. You and I have a few things in common. 1) We both love game shows, so I've been loving all the details and info in these videos. 2) We are both reviewers, in fact we are both reviewers of things basic society wouldn't consider worth reviewing. You review game shows, and I review...Power Rangers. Yep, I'm on my 3rd season of the show, around 70 videos so far. I am in jealous AWE of your production skills! The sets, the effects, your show just LOOKS fantastic. Like you, I've also worked an ongoing storyline into my reviews, but the limits of my CGI knowledge is whatever I can figure out how to make Adobe Premiere do, which is limited. It probably wouldn't be possible to do the kind of effects you do for a weekly show, but I see the visual quality of your program and I just wish my show could look half as good. I know and have seen that this show has hit something of a snag. I saw your post on FB about the Temple movie and the whole real life thing. Real life always comes first, of course, but I REALLY hope you can one day return to doing these reviews. There are many game shows I'd love to see you review (Wheel of Fortune, Millionaire, The Weakest Link, maybe even some GSN originals like IdioTest, Friend or Foe, Russian Roulette). But also, I want to know what happens to the Captain, SARAH, and the Tempest One! Hope you find time to keep it up. Lots more great games shows, and some duds, for you to review.

Awesome special, you learn something new every day! I do have a few requests for you to review once the show comes back if you want: Pick Your Face, Go Go Stop, You Bet Your Life, Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation and maybe Hot Quiz Hot Shot for an April Fool's Day episode.

I'm probably a bit too small time to catch the notice of Review Reviewer, although I'm always open to criticism. As for Channel Awesome's Internet Game Show "Pop Quiz Hot Shot"...hmm...

I meant crossover WITH Review Reviewer to review Pop Quiz Hot Shot together. But yeah, I like the sound of that "hmm". That reminds me, maybe by the time your second season is back on track, we could do a crossover review of Skatoony. Just a thought.

It was in episode 112, after sarah told him he no information on the game, so he figured to call a "in era" person to help, but got Bennie boy instead... Therefore it ended up being more of GSR having to teach Bennie Boy about the game then getting help himself.

This may sound a bit "out there," but have you ever considered reviewing "The Gong Show," and how it was a precursor to the talent showcase game show explosion that we have now? I stumbled across your channel by accident and have loved every episode! I know that it has been awhile since you have posted anything new, but if you decide to ever upload again, I cannot wait to see what you've got! :)

+MysticDestroyer13 You know, that's actually a pretty good point! The only difference I think between "The Gong Show" and a show like, say "American Idol", is that the judges actually had a say in the judging. In 'Idol', once the contestants were on the stage, the judges were effectively powerless critics.

I actually agree. Also, the sheer unpredictability of "The Gong Show" made it so that every episode was unique. You might have a slew of amazing talent one episode, and complete garbage on the next episode. Regardless of whether an act was good or not, it was always a delight to laugh along and see something you knew you pretty much couldn't find anywhere else. By breaking just about every game show convention at the time (near-worthless prizes, jokes that bordered on the inappropriate at the time of the late 70s, a wildly nervous Chuck Barris hosting, etc), you wound up watching what ended up being one of the most influential programs ever made. Barris's history as a producer is also really intriguing, and one you might be interested in reading about further. Thank you so much for your reply! :)

Your '80's-era "Pyramid" set is DOPE!!! Though, I would scale down the size of the "Winner's Circle" a bit... so it'll be smaller in comparison to the big board. Other than that, it looks almost TV real! :-D

First off, I just want to say that I like the Series. Your reviews are great and, alone, they would make for a solid series, but the whole lost in the time/fighting space bad guys thing makes for enjoyable entertainment. If future episodes are coming up, I would love to see reviews of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Greed. Millionaire was a favourite of mine as a kid and today. In my opinion, it perfected the dark, tense, and anxious atmosphere for a game show, with wrong answer noises that scared me silly, that I refused to listen to even today. It created numerous memories for game shows and me, personally. Greed had the same atmosphere and produced great TV as well. Unfortunately, nobody seems to talk about it today and there are very few clips online of it. I discovered it several years back and fell in love with it instantly. Also, I would love to see an episode looking at game shows from outside the U.S. There are so many great ones out there that deserve that kind of spotlight. Hope to see more episodes. Good luck.

i still hold Press your luck to be a Carruthers co production first over Freemantal, and the same for Family Fued to be a Mark Goodson + Bill Toddman Production. I will always give the people that came up with the show top billing when i do the shows for anime and comic cons, then the new production people

@Grid17Productions

+dstebbin Unfortunately, it's been even longer then that. Closer to a year and a half now. Truth is, I simply haven't had the time to produce a new video since then. Doing VFX work for Linkara has definitely helped in getting back into production mode, but I haven't had the time to put together even a new special. I'm hopeful though that this is now changing and things are settling down with real life. I do have a new video planned right now, but I'm not going to reveal anything about it until it's definitive (I'll say this, it's a 'special', not a standard episode and therefore, not the Scrabble review).
