Virtua Fighter is still the best 3D fighting game series. Tekken 2 was also fun. *Salute to Seiichi Ishii and Yu Suzuki!

Kakuto Chojin is a game I would consider to be a flawed gem. It's very rough in its content and polish, but the core gameplay is solid despite missing a few things from Tobal 2. It was a natural evolution of Tobal, Ehrgeiz, and The Bouncer that expanded the movement system, combos, and movesets but the grappling was gutted and the Kakuto/Chojin style system hurt the game more than it help get new players into the game due to the game not teaching you how to play it. The game came out with little to no content and the graphics while good for an early Xbox game was still not as good as DOA3, which came out a year prior. The game is not as bad as people make it out to be, but it's lacking in content compared to fighters of its time, and even Tobal 1 had more content. I will say that The Bouncer is DreamFactorys worst game since it has the worst gameplay. Kakuto Chojin is a game that had potential but was wasted due to the bad reviews and controversy that ended up killing it and Dream Publishing which was a collaboration of DreamFactory and Microsoft.

Tekken and Virtua Fighter is like the story of the tortoise and the hare. Sega model 1/2/3 was so bleeding edge, but Tekken slowly and steadily overtook it using PS derivative hardware through the generations

Seiichi Ishii is a god tier game director. He had so many ideas it's shocking. Always wondered how would Tekken 3 turned out if he was the director instead of Harada. One things for sure - it would have had A LOT MORE than it ended up with. Tobal 2 was his magnum opus. It took me longer to "master" one character (Gren) then it took "master" whole of Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 roster. ("Master" is in quotes because it's only in terms of character movesets but still.). The Man invented just frames and put so many in one character, it was never put in character since. Throw breaks - the crazy man put in throw breaks that end up in throw that could be broken that end up in a throw. He even figured out the animation stop and refrain, like when you hit a spining round roundhouse kick and opponent blocks it, the roundhouse stopped at block and not shoot past it. Similar situation with lows. In Tekken these are called: "stagger lows" now but not highs or mids they blow right though opponent like always. It was all in 1997! I could go on endlessly but his imagination was insane when it comes to character mechanics in Tobal 2. Of course not his all ideas were on point the infamous back step trips were...ugh...bad. His control setup was the same(with some minor changes) for all his(post VF, T, T2) games: high, mid, low and block was a modifier +high, mid, low, with mid being a throw but only in neutral. It was quite a task to control his characters, not at all intuitive. But his another game Ehrgeiz gained a lot more followers in the recent years, so it could be people will also wake up to Tobal 2. I could go on and on but for me, Seiichi Ishii is real innovator when it comes to fighting games. If only a handful of his ideas were implemented in todays fighting games, those games would be on different level. Great video! Subscribed! 👍

Tekken is the best 3D fighter, in my opinion. To be entirely fair though, the only other 3D fighter I played was Soul Caliber.

If you look around, there are NO other 3D fighters being released except Tekken. 2D fighters are plenty but 3D fighters got one. Not counting arena fighters.

He should have been in charge instead of Harada. There would have been a much better story with his ideas as opposed to the garbage we got stuck with and embarrassing humiliation of characters.
