Paul Eddington plays the harassed and harangued extremely well. Whenever he is happy in the series it is inevitably because he has just avoided a dose or knows he's about to have a period of solitude.

It's only 35 years on I ve come to realsie how good PK actually was. Interestingly, now I dislike the "Tom" character intensely and like "Gerry" considerably.
