Man I get that he had a wild stretch but Jeremy Lin wasn't a one-hit wonder, he was an emerging talent who got bounced by Melo because he didn't want to share the spotlight with "some Asian" and then got saddled behind James Harden right as he was taking off. Then he caught the injury bug, just unlucky.

@Synical02
7 ай бұрын
Yes then we don't mention how he was the 1st option on the rockets had a good career then rapidly declined due to injuries so again regardless of Carmelo he just fell off. People can mention the Carmelo Beef all they want to, but he has his own time on a better team in Huston, his stats reflect his decline so James harden took over the Lin slowly more and more declined. I think people overestimated how much the melo beef actually effected his career because it didn't change how Lin sanity was received or marketed or how he was treated and paid like a star . It's all about these minor roadblocks to bloat his legacy, and not what actually happened.

I really don't like talking about Jermey Lin because people love him, but also overestimated how good he actually is, and can't accept he naturally was outclassed and declined due to injuries. He was good for 1-2 years. Regardless how much Melo and Kobe Discriminated against this man personally. You can very well argue it didnt hurt his career at all. He was still advertised, still paid extremely well, still top option when he got traded to huston even then at huston he more or less was slightly worse then the rest is history. He slowly moved around and faded out. Trying to call him a one hit isn't necessarily wrong, but it requires context,but its hard to give him credit without his fans trying to EXTREMELY gas him up .
