This is essentially what A1 always wants to explain but never does in a way that can easily be undestood. Thanks a lot for an easy explanation

@@A.Steptoe I completely agree honestly. I've tried watching his videos and he tries to be so technical then doesn't actually explain shit. If you can't explain a general concept in a 10 minute video I'm not going to watch a 30 min video ha

One thing to note is that you are demonstrating this in decoupled mode. If people are in coupled, it will be difficult to get the same results with this using the TVI. Great video as always, Winters.

Si, still doable just different input requirements. It's all demonstrated in the last shots in coupled mode.

Makes sense. The only thing that may add to this demonstration is a perspective from the target to see what these movements look like to him, and maybe the input view of your controls to illustrate how you are doing each maneuver.

Great explanation and it makes sense...used to old WWII planes so the vector thrusting is a bit new, but this puts me exactly where I need to be to avoid damage very well...practiced a few days and am just blowing everything up now while being elusive to others...keep up the work man been writing training documents based on some of your tutorials.

I am, T1600m will limit you, they have limited accuracy. That said, you def wanna try curves. Try for pitch and yaw 1.3. And try to use as little dead zone as possible, as long as your sticks don't move on their own.

How to control vector indicator This is not helpful when you don't tell HOW to do it
@JohnathanWinters

Yes I do, move forward a little then strafe. 1:39
@DerVagabundli

You control the indicator by moving. The indicator shows you where the ship is going. Change direction too fast and it will move out of your sight, as it will only show when it's fairly centered, aka you're going fairly strait forwards.

This is not a game. It is at best a visual experience you can pay a hefty sum for. This development team majorly screwed up. Chris Roberts should have hired better devs. I have a feeling he got the cheapest ones possible.If these Devs he hired are so bad ass, who are they? I have never heard of one of them. Show me any successful games they made. ZERO! Roberts hired a whole bunch of devs with zero success in the industry. Meaning, they don't even have a clue what will work and what won't. The shittiest development I have ever witnessed. They kicked me from the game after telling them that they could have had a playable game selling like crazy for over 4 years now if they would not have wasted so much time and actually develop the game end. Instead they are still working on ships when there are already 140 of them, yet none are modular!!! They wasted time on stupid game mechanics that make zero sense, things like ships that can magically appear as if they were teleported there. All sorts of dumb shit like that that would not be even close to realistic. Instead of building the game, they are working as well on another star system. They simply don't know what the fuck they are doing. Started making a game with little to no outcome of direction. As if they are still figuring out what the game should be like. Idiots. You should have had it all developed before you even started programming! It is called having fucking directions!!! So they banned me. Yet these fools should have hired me yesterday for conceptual and directing duty. I gave them amazing and unique ideas that they could have already interfaced into the game. Ideas that would guarantee this games success. Yet instead , their sick pride banned me. I wont play this game even if it does come out ten years from now. The devs are lucky I don't come down to Austin Texas and beat the shit out them. They robbed me of 275 dollars when i was simply being constructively critical of the game to help them. Bullying me and harrassing me the whole time I was trying to explain how they were wasting time. Scumbags. When I paid to help produce this game, I did not pay to have my money robbed trying to help the game. When I gave 275 dollars to help, it was not to wait 2 decades for a playable game!!! They stole 275 from me. I have beat the shit out of people for a lot less. I can single-handedly fuck this game over if I want to, any time I want to. And I am going to.

If your "constructive criticism" sounds anything like the way you typed this obscenely childish comment, it's no damn wonder they didn't listen to a single thing you had to say. You're completely right and bring up plenty of valid points about a clear lack of direction, wasted time, and development focused in the wrong areas; but holy shit man you need to chill out a little bit. No one is ever going to listen to you or take what you have to say seriously if you say it like this. You could literally have the best idea in the world but no one would want to work with you based solely off of the anger and disgusting arrogance you've shown in this comment. "They are lucky I don't come down to beat the shit out of them?", but they would be so lucky to have you on their payroll for sure. Jesus Christ are you 13? You talk about their sick pride without stopping to think about how pathetic what you've typed here really is. "I've beat the shit out of people for less", really says a lot about your character even if it's not true, which it probably isn't cause you seem like the type to not know how to fight anyways. Get some serious mental help man. Your life doesn't have to be full of aggression like this. The world does not revolve around you and no one else is obligated to listen to what you have to say, especially if you are immature and obnoxious about it.
