Raw honey benefits: • It’s anti-microbial • It’s anti-inflammatory • It’s anti-allergy • It helps lower blood pressure • It has B-vitamins, magnesium, calcium, and potassium Honey is a sweetener that also has a lot of good stuff. However, it still has 50% fructose and 50% glucose. This means it can slow down your weight loss, and it has a relatively high glycemic index. Best type of Honey is Raw Manuka Honey! I had the most interesting experience with my son, who was about 10 months old at the time. We gave him green beans, for the first time. He broke out in a rash almost immediately. He started crying and demanding honey. He had never had honey, because I knew children under 1 year old should not have it. He was insistent... yelling, honey, honey, honey!!! So, we gave him a small amount. The rash went away, within 10 minutes. Because we are spiritual beings, who’ve lived many lives, sometimes we bring knowledge with us, that seems unexplainable. He never asked for honey again. Glad I listened to him.

Dr. Berg I've been eating a Golden Curry Sauce mix, made by S&B mild in spice, I believe a Product from Japan with loads of celery, yellow onion & carrots. I love it for its blend of sweet spices, I also add braised Sirloin steak or browned boneless chicken breast, S&B Mild Curry and veggies satisfy my cravings for sweets. No rice, but 1/2 a baked potato (Occasionally ) with 2 1/2 cups Curry & veggies takes care of my hunger for 8 to 16 hours. I personally started watching your videos about three or four weeks ago. my weight when I started was 225 ( Naked ) , today after 3-4 weeks I weigh 197 pounds ( Clothed ). The information on insulin & adrenal glands what to eat, fasting & cutting sugars, plus exercise has changed the way I think about my health. The whole "allergies" myth has been debunked repeatedly. There is no tree pollen, ragweed pollen, or any of the most crippling type pollens that cause allergy symptoms, present in honey. Honey contains pollen from flowers and clover most typically. You won't build immunity to most common allergies with Honey.

I thought I was buying raw honey from a reliable source. But, as the bottle sat in my cupboard, the honey crystalized. I had a jar of real, raw, unfiltered honey which I bought at my local farmers market. It contained wax from the comb, and as it sat, the wax thickened but did not crystalize. This is the real raw honey. The wax is soft and can be easily dipped from the jar for a piece of toast.

Looking at all of Dr. Berg‘s honey videos, and he says no to honey and apple cider vinegar, but yes in this one. I personally am going to do about half a teaspoon in the morning and let it sit on my tongue and ease down my throat to help heal my vocal cords. It’s grown locally here on the island where I live, and it’s approximately 5 g of sugar. Taking a small dose of it medicinal he is worth it, knowing that my other 15 g of sugar will be coming from somewhere else. Probably from vegetables or Michelob ultra. LOL OK I might get up to 30 g who knows. But the key is, is knowing where Your carbs are coming from and choosing what’s right for you.

As a commercial beekeeper for over 30 years and 17 years a hobbyist I can tell you that RAW is a very poor term for honey that is not pasteurized. Depending on where you are in this world it means different things to diff people. What you should be saying is honey that's real and hasn't been pasteurized or filtered but merely strained to remove particles. Honey has to be clarified by some heat to strain unless you want honey that granulates. You will apply more harmful heat degranulating it than if it's heated to merely strain it. People have little knowledge of honey and think they want one thing but get something else. Can't have your cake and eat it too! If your buying honey from the grocery store unless it's local your not getting anything near what they may think regardless of the label. The only honey I call raw is comb honey. It's exactly as the bees made it only cut from the frame and edges drained and then packaged. By the way most darker honey is best for allergies as it generally is produced when people suffer from allergies, the Fall.

Dr. Berg I've been on a Ketogenic diet since last June. Lately in the last 2-3 months I've been struggling with sugar cravings. I make Keto treats but they only serve to increase my craving for real sugar treats. What can I do to curb these cravings? My macros are fine, nothing out of the ordinary as I've been eating similar meals for months now. I did increase my calories for maintenance and no longer on a deficit for weight loss. I don't work out a lot, and do not over eat.

Terri Boyd check the ingredients in what you're eating. Be cautious with what sugar alternatives you use, I just found out xylitol isn't the best for ketosis and I always thought that was a great one. Some stevia brands add a bunch of crap to their product too. So many hidden additives in everything, it's frustrating but also eye opening.
@jaeshasway

Said Ufuk I appreciate your suggestions. I don't drink coffee or tea very often. Can't tolerate caffeine, just decaf and only in mornings and not everyday so that's not realistic if a craving is late in the day. I eat well on Keto and get plenty of everything I need. I have no deficiencies that I know of. I eat and supplement well. Just started IF, not for weight loss. I'm on 16/8. No difference in cravings. Increased energy in evenings which Iove though so I'll stick with it. It would be great if the doctor would speak to this.

Pickeledcoconut Thanks for your reply. I'm definitely mindful of ingredients. Have been eating, learning and researching Keto, low carb, for awhile. I'm no expert, but know the basics and what to avoid. I cook most of my meals from scratch. Rarely eat out. I don't use xylitol. I use Stevia and Erythritol in moderation. I only started making Keto treats recently to fight the craving for sugar. It's not working. I've only had 1 sugar binge, not really a binge, lol. I ate a small nothing bundt cake this Wednesday for my GMoms 88th B Day. I don't eat regular sugar like that very often. I do have very good will power in spite of craving sugar. I indulge in Lily's but I don't over do that, as I do not have any treats on the regular. Truthfully the increased craving for real sugar only came about when I went into maintenance mode. I was on Cyclical Keto for many months. Lost all the weight I wanted. Went straight Keto as I didn't like the way I felt eating carbs, even eating clean, like fruit, beans, quinoa. I just don't have the tolerance. My guess is after going straight keto, my body misses the carbs. I definitely miss fruit. Idk. I've been straight Keto since January. Kinda ready to just start living regularly and not worry about cravings. Considering going back on Cyclical as I had zero cravings.
@gimi2395

Gsizzle Jiggywitit Already familiar with her. As I said cravings begin long before I started making Keto treats. I only made the treats to stave off the cravings. Cravings began when I cut out carb ups. When I was on Cyclical Keto and ate sugar occasionally I actually had zero sugar cravings. I just didn't like the low energy I felt after a carb up, even keeping it clean. I'm really looking for a realistic scientific reason as to why it's happening.

I've been using about half a teaspoon each of organic raw unfiltered honey and organic blackstrap molasses in my coffee for about 7 or 8 years now. I use a mix of both to sort of balance the types of sugar and the flavors. Then I add about two or three tablespoons of organic heavy whipping cream (grass fed when I splurge). It's like a lazy man's bulletproof coffee, sort of.
@rmcq1999
2 жыл бұрын
It wouldn't be like a bulletproof coffee. You'd just end up having all the calories stored away from the whipping cream and the honey/molasses. And you'd have an insulin spike and crash from it. You don't get that with bulletproof coffee at all. I made the mistake of having a tsp of raw manuka with Ceylon cinnamon along with Bulletproof, and I was starving by 10pm at work. With just Bulletproof, I could go until lunch time and still not really be very hungry.

My ex-wife is allergic to honey, like in anaphylactic shock, respiratory problems bloated face kind of allergy, and the effect depends on the type of honey, trust me she tried numerous kinds in small quantities, Now luckily I was allergic and helped her out with my anti-histamines, but what do you do when a product that is known for it's anti allergic properties is actually giving you an allergy, now this isn't something she had all of her life, my suspicion is that this started when her bile was removed because of stones, although she refutes that, but ever since I started watching your video's and the sheer nr of problems that can be caused by a faulty liver, I suspect it even more. BUT I am not the specialist here, you are and you can feel free to tell me I am dead wrong I will not be insulted. But I would appreciate your opinion on this, are there more people with this condition? Could it be psychosomatic? Could it be a real thing? if So what actually causes it and is there a cure? It is true that pasturization of honey ruins the nutrient profile and microbial benefits, this is also true for dairy and eggs.

I put raw organic honey in my porridge every morning, i wait till the porridge is just warm so it doesn't destroy the enzymes.

Even though this video is 2yrs old Dr. Berg. I stopped using honey a while ago because it started irritating and thought Ruud was causing yeast infections, but now I'm thinking, maybe ì was using it wrong. So I'm wondering if I should try it in with my acv or can I put some Manuka honey in my bulletproof almond milk/coffee with a little bit of chia seeds and raw cocoa powder?

Hi. Is it ok to use honey in wounds in small children’s and baby’s? I used in my baby on his 6day of living. He had a small wound near the lambda (parietals and occipital bones) and I put some honey on it...and it worked really good. The doctor said about the botulism. How does that work? Even on the skin? Thanks

Doctor BERG, Manuka Honey or Raw Buckwheat Honey "reduces more fat cells" in the belly fat? Honey is suppose to reduce the fat cells around the abdominal area and belly fat but why does honey reduce fat cells? Recommend taking 2 to 4 tablespoons daily to reduce fat cells

Have you heard of sidr honey? It's not as sweet as other honey. And it's considered a natural medication for Arabs. It's mentioned in our religious tradition. But it tastes completely different from regular honey

How about the indian way? Have honey along with lemon juice and nothing else(fasting) which more or less maintains the blood sugar that is necessary for brain function. This also will not release insulin as per doc. For rest of whatever activity that the body does, liver burns fat and releases energy

Dr berg. I would love to touch base with you! I am recovering from complete paralysis and was on a ventilator for almost 4 months from botulism! I don’t even know how I got it but I was diagnosed with short bowel syndrome so I was already more susceptible. I would love to know if you provide nutritional counseling
