Having reached Tucson in Arizona, we were spoiled for choice of what to do next. Should it be the historic downtown, the Barrio Viejo, or the magnificent Mission San Xavier del Bac? Perhaps a trip into the nearby Saguaro National Park, or one of the observatories that take advantage of the state's Dark Skies. We would get around to all of those, but we also wanted a great overview, and we found Mount Lemmon, all 9,171ft of it, and its remarkable climate range, which was almost 30 degrees cooler at the summit.
