itd be nice if wrestlers could actually Win some of their "signature matches", just for the sake of the Reputation (cuz i mean, "Kane always loses Inferno's" probly wasnt the Angle they intended)...but then again, it makes at least SOME sense if you look at the Other Guy's perspective...especially someone like HHH, back when Vince made him that "3 out of 5" offer (BoilerBrawl with Mankind, Casket with 'Taker, Chokeslam with BigShow, BrahmaRope with Rock, and Inferno with Kane)-- if you focus instead on "Triple H fighting the Final Boss", him winning against Kane-- in Kane's "territory"-- suddenly seems a bit more special... ...but yeah, Kane shouldve definitely had more Squash Matches in the flames, just to make him look like the unstoppable fire demon that they tried to make his character into...just Jobber after Jobber, so that when Kane is finally written to LOSE an Inferno match, itd look like even more of a Challenge for the opponent to overcome...

Believe it or not, I hated that first inferno match. There was one element of the design that was just... too distracting for me. It was the fact that you heard the gas valve being released every single time someone did a move in the ring. Someone would do a movie, and all you would hear was a pressurized, "PSSSH!!!" and fire would erupt. And so many times, the guy controlling it just flubbed it. A move would happen and several moments after he was supposed to trigger it, ""PSSSSSSH!!!", completely missing the mark. Or occasionally, he'd hit the gas valve thinking that something big was going to happen, "PSSSSH!!!" but nothing happened. It was a great idea. Visually it was somewhat cool... But it didn't work out right, because the valve was loud when it released, and the guy in charge of that gas valve was kind of trigger happy or just had no feel for what was going on in the ring. It wasn't until years later that they got the inferno matches actually looking and feeling kind of right. Probably the MVP vs Kane and the Brey Wyatt vs Randy Orton one looked the best. But I just can't deal with the pre-produced nature of the Wyatt Orton one.
