Figured out a way to make the alpine loop a bit more... well behaved and precise. Instead of using the whole hand I have been using just my first two fingers to wrap around. Seems to encourage the finished knot to end up just where I want it to, and much smaller, which works out well for me personally, instead of needing to be painfully adjusted. Disclaimer: I absolutely DO recognize that it IS way easier to demonstrate using the whole hand. XD Thanks Rory, you’re stellar. 🌟

Hey weird question.. Could you maybe do a tutorial for something on the legs that doesn’t require a long rope...? I sometimes use Shibari to cope with my selfharm problem. Instead of cutting I tie. But I just don’t know what to do on my leg. Especially bc I only have a pretty short rope and I can’t buy another one bc my parents would think I want to kill myself or something. I know it’s a weird request sorry.

Medical/safety shears (to cut rope in case you tighten too much or what not) (~5-10$) And a couple bundles of 30ft nylon or cotton rope. Cotton is soft and cheap, but can tighten too much if you arent careful (~$9 for 30ft). Nylon rope is a bit more expensive, but will last longer (~13 for 30ft) You can also get nylon rope at like home depot, just make sure it doesnt have a core, and you want about 1/4 in thick. Have fun!
