I just discovered your channel, and you might quickly be one of my favorite KZitemrs now. You are on a great and wonderful journey! It's a little hard to tell from the video, but I believe the evergreen tree you saw is a species of Araucaria, probably Araucaria araucana, the Monkey Puzzle Tree.

Enjoyed all the content in this one, Isaiah! So many interesting things you noticed - ice cream vending machine, the many religious items in the villages, the beautiful little village of Vrees (sp?), the rock cages along the fence, the beautiful buildings, the great little shelters, benches, etc. for bikers/walkers, etc.. Nice to hear the birds chirping & see all the beautiful scenery - next best thing to walking with you on your journey! Love the way Jack responds to you and how he seems to be thoroughly enjoying his walk with you. Your cute narration is fun, too! Thanks so much for taking time to do these videos for us. Always happy to see a new one.

That evergreen tree that you were wondering about could be what is known as a "monkey puzzle tree", it's scientific name is Araucaria araucana also known as the Chilean pine.

@@YouDoYouShields -- My pleasure. I had one of those trees at my former home in England so it looked familiar to me.

Curious: how have you adjusted Jack's food / calory amount according to the activity (mostly walking for almost all day)? Did he have less activity during days back home, before you two started your tour through Europe? 🤔🙂

I increased it, but not much. Before we got here he was still growing and only stopped a month or so before. So I figured he’d need a little more for exercise, but no more weight gain. He seems in very good health and spirits, so I think it’s working! Had he seems to have struggled for energy or been a little too slim I would have of course given him more!

The bolders are ancient! Really ancient! They are prehistoric megalithic tombs from 4,000 -5,000 years ago! They are en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolmen
