This song is just...the monster...it's just vast and massive. Definitely one of the greatest ever written. Lee's particular delivery here is as good as it was 20 years ago.

Great! Never seen this before. Shame the crowd were completely unappreciative. They'll learn.

It's really a shame nobody could figure out how to get this lightning in a bottle. They really do have a live energy that is lacking on the album. Although the album is good, it just doesn't hold up to their live performances.

Simple. Record them live in a room, no overdubs, just room mics, done.

@@thegoodsgone1965 absolutely. It’s a shame they arrived in the 80s when producers and engineers were hellbent on make everything sound less organic and gated. I always thought they should’ve worked with Steve Albini who did In Utero by Nirvana. Different style of music, but his whole thing is making a drum kit sound like an actual single instrument and capturing how things sound in a room. It’s funny, when you read his ethos on recording, he sounds almost identical to Mavers. When you read interviews with Lee and the stuff he spoke about in books, he’s not really the control freak people think, he just wanted people who understood what he wanted. All he needed was people to not over complicate it, get a good sound and let the band do the rest. The problem is a lot of producers have an ego and want their stamp all over the record.
