Join me as I take an in-depth look at the last remaining Royal Observer Corps Operations Room in the world. The ROC played a vital part in the defence of Britain throughout the war with spotting posts and Ops Rooms occupied 24/7 from a few days before the war until a few days after the war. The words "Unsung Heroes" get thrown around a lot today but in this case it's true as many people don't even know these people were there through all weathers and conditions displaying the very height of professionalism.
Unfortunately the Guildhall isn't open to the public yet but they do have an exhibition coming up from 26th March to 10th April. Other open days in 2022 are: 8th May, 12th June, 10th July, 14th August, 11th Sep, 18th Sep, 30th Oct, 27th Nov, and 11th Dec.

We suffered technical difficulties in this video for which I apologise. One day I'll get the hang of filming, but today is not that day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either...
