An encouraging and uplifting poem by Annie Johnson Flint. She certainly understood what it meant to endure severe physical suffering as she experienced the "olive press" in her own life through chronic health problems and pain. She trusted in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and believed that he was mindful of her and completely in control of the suffering she faced. Annie was convinced that God would use it in her life to make her more like Christ and to draw her closer to himself.
Enjoy this poem as you face your own "olive press" and fix your eyes on Jesus who has gone before us!
A special thanks to my sister Rachael for the beautiful music that accompanies this poem.
