#Fractal #amdryzen #asuspcdiy - It's small, it's bold... It's able to house TWO optical drives for the ultimate 2023 throwback vibe. Here comes the all AMD blackout Fractal Pop Mini Air!

It's been a short while coming, but for this video I really wanted to dial into the more 'affordable' sides of AMD's architecture and make use of the Ryzen 5 7600 along with the RX 6750 XT for a modest, yet very capable 1080 (and even 1440p) gaming setup.
Needless to say, the system came together extremely well and not a single inch of the Pop Mini Air's capacity had been wasted. From front to back, this chassis brings excellent airflow even when utilising an oversized Radeon 6750 XT such as the Strix featured in this video.
Who even needs an optical drive in 2023 you might ask?! Well, funnily enough this video was inspired by the landlord of my studio space who challenged me to build a 'non flashy but functional pc' for light gaming but most importantly it needed a CD drive as he has decades worth of work saved to thousands of discs which he regularly needs to access. The pop air mini ticks these boxes perfectly!
Importantly, cooling had to be excellent whilst also retaining that 'non-flashy' edge. I found the perfect vibe for this with the Scythe Kaze Flex fans combined with the Mugen 5 Rev.C CPU cooler. These are absolutely solid performers, extremely affordable and operate silently whilst moving plenty of air. Love that!

Overall I couldn't be happier with this build. The cost is modest, almost encroaching on the lower end of a budget build. The style looks premium and the performance is excellent. What is there to not love about this?
Total build cost (at time of filming) - $1100
Special thanks to ASUS UK for the hookup and support with the GPU and Motherboard featured in this video. Also BIG thanks to my new partners at Scythe for the hook-up with the cooling!
