That was big fun to ride along. You ripped that woods section!

I did the 59 as well! The 4000' climbing does eventually take its toll! Looked like you had a great early Spring gravel ride in the red dirt! Years past, when it was raining or wet, it took 12 hours to finish the 50! Great video, reminded me how many different surfaces there really are on this ride!

That is so good. I relived some of those spots watching it and the phone return was an awesome moment. I can see how you left me in the woods even if I didn’t wreck 😂

Good Job! I am in the green Stone Brewing in front of you at the starting line as we left town. I am a newbie to cycling as well. Good luck on your future rides!

@@JohnnyPowRides Thanks man! You could totally do it. I'm actually thinking about doing the 50 next year because my wife wants to give it a go. We'll see...

Nice video. How long did it take you to do the ride and what was the distance?

Hi! Do you have any information on your normalized power and w/kg over the course of the 50k? What tires did you run and what was the psi? I'm training for next year thanks!

I’m a total newbie to cycling and exercise in general for that matter, so I don’t know how to calculate any of that! I didn’t train for this other than doing a half dozen rides around 25 miles. My longest ride prior to this was 34 miles. I just wanted to finish! I rode on Terravail Washburn 700x42 which were skinnier and a little more road focused than most I saw out there, but I think they did great on the dry, firm conditions we luckily had. I honestly didn’t even check my psi, but I run my tires a little firmer than most I suspect. I still have a lot to learn! The one change I decided after this is to switch out my front chainring from 42T to 40 or 38 to see if it’ll help me with the hill climbs which was my nemesis on this ride. And if I can ride a few more local events, maybe put time and miles on a trainer and consider the 100 next time.
