Ian hasn't tried to wrestle anyone in any of his UFC fights.

I respect what ariels saying about p4p & his argument for àlex Pereira.. But danas 100% right..Jon Jones is #1 p4p today. Its simply because jones is unbeaten today. & is the sitting active ufc heavyweight champion & formerly the light heavyweight champion. A division he cleared out 3 times. For about a decade. The division alex is in today with 3 fights. Against 2 dudes who are 1 dimensional whereas jon fought EVERY facet. From the best wrestler of the 205 ever in d.c & jones not only wins both with one putting d.c out cold but out wrestles him.. To jones fighting the scariest striker/kickboxer 205 has ever seen.. a freak of nature (before alex of course) alexander Gustafson.. dudes far bigger than jon too. Jon beat him 2 times. Finishing him the 2nd time. The case for p4p is very simple.. who wins in a hypothetical fight.. Jon jones vs alex at 205 or at heavyweight? Jon jones puts alex on his *ss & makes alex do that stare again except this time its staring at the lights from lethal ground & pound elbows. Stop it ariel.. If theres one thing dana has pull on, its the p4p rankings. I had jones #1 prior to it. But hearing dana agree, its only made my stance super secure. Stop it. Make your case for p4p in December after jones whoops that firefighter from ohios *ss

3 ай бұрын
Your argument makes sense if P4P was an all time thing. The P4P list the UFC and fans reference usually takes in the wins and performances in the past few years. It's a topical list, not a historical one. Jones has fought once in 5 years, and his fight before that is nearly unanimously viewed as a loss for him (to an opponent who immediately went on a 4 fight skid afterwards). You assuming the outcome of a fight that's never been booked doesn't count as an actual real win for Jones either. You don't know for sure that Jones can close the distance on Pereira without getting knocked out. Comparing Alex Pereira to Alexander Gustafsson is hilarious as well. You know damn well that Gustafsson is a dogshit striker compared to Poatan.
