I’m not tired of it Jim ! Interesting to listen to your thought process . I had a thought 💭 not sure if it is doable being as how the bearings are installed . Couldn’t you have put your machined spacer in between the bearings to correct the shortness of the damaged bearing spacer and then use your new dust ring and not have to disassemble the driver side assembly !!! But as we all know you had to put it together to figure out how much wear/shorter the spacer was from original

I don't blame ya wanting to replace the wheel bearings on the other side, its always a smart thing to do is replace both sides of Wheel bearings. That way you will have peace of mind when she all assembled.

Jim, could I offer a comment about this? What your referring to is 1000 of an inch. These dimensions will mean your wheel will be out 1000's of an inch. It would not matter. The car will work. No car even Ferrari need to match tolerances that fine. Sorry it seems that the dimensions on that hub will not effect the driveability of the car. Put it together. Take it for a drive. See if it really matters. Respect Jim. Just my perspective. Love your work.

I think your logic is true Jim, if it was just the one side that had replacement work done then the opposite side should, theoretically, be running true and, should be viable for an interchange of parts. It'll be off a shovel when you get done..😂😂👍

If you get the driver's side apart, it might be worth measuring that spacer tube and getting a new one machined for the passenger side, then everything would be back to standard. Or at least measure it, so you could replace it if things go wrong later on.
