@discordiacreates6669
Жыл бұрын
Yeah it's great that he's decided to make that change because while some people zone out during the science portion, I actually tend to check out during the movie summary so now both sides can have a mix of both and there's more entertainment through the whole video since if ya prefer the science potion since you're not a movie watcher (like me) or you prefer the movie summary because the science is sometimes a bit too complex, doesn't matter so much because now the science is spliced into the movie summary and you're given info as it becomes relevant to the plot in bite sized pieces instead of a whole meal at the end. Roanoke sure knows how to make his audience happy because he just improved the movie summary section for me and hopefully made the science more digestible for y'all ^^

@@RedexTwo fair point and I can see that, though I'm not upset about it because ik people skipping sections hurts his reach and I never wanna see Roanoke discouraged from making videos if that is really affecting his numbers, so it's kinda a mixed blessing to mix both but hopefully it doesn't mean he'll stop having the bulk of the science at the end because I do really enjoy that part. Hi Roanoke, geologist here! In petrology, there is actually extensive research on how the mixing of certain substances in different proportions can affect a solid solution’s melting point. In other words, when you have two different substances, like say water and salt, the more salt you add to the water will allow it to remain liquid at colder temperatures. This is why we salt roads to keep them from freezing! So despite the weather becoming colder in the movie, it is reasonable to infer that the ground is still able to thaw due to another substance (salt or otherwise) has been recently dissolved into the ice.

Ok, video idea. Dnd mindflayers. You explain some of the history, diets, culture, goals, and ideals. There's tons of stuff explaining what it does but not how, could be fun to explore their biology. Could even go over their hivemind and how that operates. Could even explain how the best hivemind is in fact that a unconscious hivemind is without a doubt, the most terrifying concept to go against. (I understand humans can technology be considered that, but hiveminds are cool and it's a interesting concept to just know everyone all at once in some form of weird groupings. Also, ironic to think a alien race would see us as we'd see something like a dog. Intelligent yet not anywhere on par to a human. Also weirdly more biological and psyonics. )

Having watched this movie just a couple of days ago, I am really glad to see you posting about what the creatures are. I myself think they're mutated humans in some way, though I also think that since it is a virus/bacteria it is also a form of mutated bat since viruses and bacteria CAN mutate, and it could also become strong enough to counter some bats immune systems against viruses over time since it is a old strain. Since the strain could have acquired some form of human DNA, mutated, then went after bats, they could have mutated from it and becoming more human-like while still keeping their bat-like features.

For a moment I thought the title said Cold Fear and got excited. It's a hidden gem of a ps2 game similar to classic resident evil. I feel it's be a cool game to do a video on since I remember there being mutants and stuff. Though I only played a bit since my copy was corrupted.

You know what videogame virus/bacteria that be interesting to see in a video? The virus from Extermination from the good old ps2. Loved that game and wish it had a sequel.

Super 8 refers to a type of 8mm film that was popular with amateur filmmakers during the time. It was also a movie a few years ago about an alien. No connection to A24 unless some of their movies were filmed on it.

I can’t believe this is being covered! Saw this movie on a low-budget werewolf movie pack. The rest were terrible but this one was a genuine gem

Now, lets say, hypothetically, that somebody once told me that the world would proceed to roll me, and made the claim that I was not, the smartest tool in the shed. Which would lead us to look at the facts and see that she was looking kind of dumb, due to the fact that she had placed her finger and her thumb, in the shape of the letter L, located on her forehead. This would mean that the years would start coming, and logically wont stop coming, that I was, hypothetically, fed to the rules, which would proceed with me hitting the ground running. Which didn’t make sense, to live for fun, in a way that your brain gets smart, yet your head gets dumb, seeing as there’s so much to do, and so much to see, so now I must pose the question, what is wrong with taking the backseat? This is due to the fact that you’ll never know if you don’t go, nor you will shine if you don’t glow. For you see, you are, at this moment, an All-Star, so get your game on, and proceed to go play, indeed, you’re an All-Star, get the show on, which would entitled you to get paid. That would mean that all that glitters, is indeed gold, and that only shooting stars, can participate in the process of breaking the mold.

I would be interested to see you do a pathophysiology analysis of the demons in the anime Demon Slayer. I know that you typically stick to games and live action movies, but I think it would be very interesting.

@@darklazarre442 well it is only transmissible from patient zero (Muzan), and it seems to present differently in every infected. Victims also maintain their intelligence, unlike most other zombies/vampires which become almost feral.

@GusCraft460 yeah that's part of why I called it a clusterfuck lol. The demonization is all over the place on its effects, physiological changes, blood arts, etc. I wanna see the funny youtube science man try to tackle some fantasy
