Never watched this podcast before because i’m mostly impatient. Great to hear who eric is and what he is all about. He looks sincere in his antihero role. Great job getting him to answer most of the questions. For any future topics i would like to hear more about homegames and the pokerworld of which you said you could talk 3 hours about.

Nick, you have media skills indeed and your first class, full spectrum interview with Eric highlighted these skills. While the Queen of England may have had some issues with Eric's wordplay and less than Savile Row bespoke suit wardrobe, he is still poker royalty with a heart of gold behind the tough exterior. Eric's, poker Bas Rutten UFC-esque "liver shot" takedown of Phil Helmuth, was a tour du force performance in poker and comedic timing. Bravo, Eric, for all your efforts as well to prioritize your family and supportive wife. Well played Eric in the big poker game of life. Dom Perignon cheers.

Fascinating i had no idea he was such a smarty pants. What u men don’t understand maybe about giving the money back is it wasn’t at all a difficult thing to do because i can see myself doing it too. Money doesn’t matter that much and she felt half intimidated and half a ppl pleaser and not wanting to cause a problem and he promised to go back n play if she did. Not a good poker plyr move but i get it as a woman. I hope she comes back n plays soon.

The biggest eye opener is how highly educated and hard working Eric is and how book smart (high IQ) his credentials were in college and law school. I do find it odd he has a "gangster" facade where he says things like violence solves problems. He seems like a teddy bear once you get to know him. Might be an alter ego.

43:35 when Eric says "Brian would rat her out in a second" and Nick agrees saying "that is true" I was like wtf...? We get it Nick, you want her to be innocent so badly because it's the best situation for you but let's keep opinions to what they are, opinions, not facts. Theres an easy argument to why Brian wouldn't rat her out... mainly because to ratting her out means ratting himself out and maybe more powerful people... and she didn't want to press charges until people were saying that looks suspicious... and what's really the punishment Brian faces for each scenario? The sketchy ass text Brian sent to Robbi? Like you can't say these things as if they're facts without really diving into them... Yup that's true... 🤡 No it's not true. We don't know.

Eric is. Super intelligent person. I thought at the end of the stream, he was up 255K after 9 hours??? Eric, Alan (Keating) are super rich so they’re there for branding. Eric is the absolute ANTI-HERO. He is not afraid to tell the bully the tiers and confront them face up. He’s also humble when he needs to be. Eric. If you are reading this. Your backstory was amazing. Hard work beats talent that don’t work hard.”
She already said why she gave the money back. The fact is whether or not she's cheated, you cannot prove it so the money given to Garrett should be returned in a court of law. Hustler is actually an accomplice in that crime bc if Robbie had cheated, it is the fault of the comission or Hustler in this case. They failed to protect her win. In truth, Robbi has the right to sue both Garrett and Hustler without getting banned.

Im glad he said it. All this 'violence or intimidation does not solve anything' crap. What do you think happens behind closed doors in the upper echelons of business? or casinos? what do you think billionaires are like to deal with on a regular basis? people who think violence, intimidation or bullying tactics never solve anything have never achieved anything significant in their lives in business. Also he is 100% right about Hellmuth, and its why the greats of the game for the most part dont respect him as much as many others.

I'd like to see him play when money matters, a bank roll matters, then let's see how well he plays, obviously when money doesn't matter as he has a cash cow per the his casinos he owns, you can just play different very differently in this game when you have unlimited rebuys etc.. I like the dude though.
