You have to hand it to Phil, pointing out Bally's TV outlets could be looking at him to host poker shows for who knows how many years for who knows how much and add "It's only Business for My Brand, it's Nothing Personal At All" takes some class. He could have just blown off Nick if his mood was terrible, but he was relatively diplomatic, he was honest (being a host and not a player might be the best cash he made without risking a cent) and he kept it clean and non-toxic. This was Philip Jerome Hellmuth, Jr. talking, not the Poker Brat.

Hey Nick, hope you read this comment because I'm really a big fan of yours. You're a genuinely nice person, have a great personality, and provide truly amazing content. This podcast is a fantastic venture and I wish you the best of luck because I think you're a great sounding board for folks like Garrett and Phil to work off of. My only major criticism is that sometimes you get impatient and begin to interrupt a LOT, which disrupts the flow of the conversation and throws the guest off. Helmuth even mentioned multiple times that you keep interrupting him (example: 36:15). Try to focus on putting the guest at ease, establishing rapport, and don't pepper them with questions without allowing them to finish their thoughts. There is nothing wrong with letting the guest talk uninterrupted even for as much as a few minutes because that's what the audience wants...unfiltered access to interesting poker players. Please take this criticism with all due respect because I'm truly your fan and want you to succeed.

There were two specific times, when Nick interrupted Hellmuth, asking him about "White Magic" and another time when he interrupted him to ask why he only had one sleeve (of his jacket) on. There was an instance, when Hellmuth was giving away a lot of information about his investments; he was giving away some specific numbers that he didn't seem to be pulling out of the ether. Another one was how Negreanu supposedly admitted to Phil that GTO solvers don't really work, and there should have been a follow up question as to whether or not Negreanu had actually said that (or not). Hellmuth has a great tendency to talk too much about whatever we expect him to go on about, but in those rare instances, he can be prone to divulge some interesting information. He did that (at least) twice in this interview, but we'll never know what he was actually going to say because he was interrupted. Do we really need to know anything more about "White Magic"? Outside of that, I thought that it was a good interview.

Nick, Im one of your biggest fans but there's a couple of things I need to say. I think you need to speak less while someone is speaking and I don't just mean complete interruptions but also the small little ways you agree throughout someone's statement is simply unsettling. There is no need to be constantly agreeable throughout someone's response to your question. Just sit back and let people speak, and when you feel like saying something, bite your tounge and let them speak. The other thing is, just ask the question and leave the neutrality and the justification out of every question you ask. Much love, huge fan of the stream! ✌️

This episode was so hard to listen to and watch because the Baby Brat is such a narcissistic sociopath that no matter what the question he has to big himself up, he is the hero in every story. Who the fuck cares if he has won 20 of 24 sessions when the greatest in his own mind buys in as the shortest stack and nits it up so when Hellmuth loses that's more satisfying than his small wins.

The best can be summed up in many ways. If you count, winnings, it would be Phil. If you count it as how hard he plays or how big he stacks the pros, then it's Doug Polk. Nobody can do what Doug does, and that's why I called him the best. Some people view poker as great plays or great reads. It all depends. Poker is not fighting. You can't define best.
