@bobdarrick2628 If you prioritize strength training over hypertrophy, yes, otherwise it's not required and Dumbbell tripod Rows and Cable rows would be better for hypertrophy

There’s actually a couple grip distances you could choose depending on what you want to emphasize. If you bring your grip in closer, you put more tension on the lats vs a wider area of the back. Everything else regarding form is as Jeremy shows.

It's funny how I always judge my workouts but when I see workouts on YT, I see that my form is the same 👍🏼 If it's too heavy you won't be able to properly workout correctly.

Im confused, I grip shoulder wide and my elbows stay very close to my sides, I lead the bar closely along my upper thighs toward but below my belly button because that’s how I learned it. Are wide vs narrow grip two variations? Can elbows both flare and be tucked tight and both ways are ok?

Continue them but don't put weight on the barbell. Learn the movement. Your lower back might be (very) weak depending on what lifting stage you are. Have patience. If that don't work, use a chest support, be it on a machine, with dumbbells... If you want the best variants of rows I suggest watching Natural Hypertrophy's tierlist on the back. Take care
