I was on The Price is Right, many years after this episode was filmed. The studio is much smaller than it looks on TV, and it takes all day to make a single episode. @eddieraines2844, funny how I can get so excited for someone winning ~50 yrs ago. Hearing her story about her upcoming wedding and how she had no luggage and then won it. Then got down to the car and I looked at those prices and 2 of them were only $1 apart. I then said "Well he said it has a V8 so maybe 2950 or 2990...." And then she selected both those numbers and ended up winning. I was shouting, so happy that she had some luggage and a new car for her wedding & then the showcase too! ^_^ I still do it today when I catch The Price Is Right etc. I just can't help but be happy when good things happen to people because we know life can be so full of bad things....

The big wheel did not appear until the show went to a full hour in 1975. Similarly, the half hour vesion only included three pricing games . The problem without the big wheel is that if all thre contestants won their respective game, only the two highest winners would be selected for the show case. In a sense, this was a complete game of chance. For example, how do you know in advance the value of the prizes?

Wow. A new 1973 American Motors Gremlin was only $2990. I wish new cars in 2023 were still that cheap.

I was 1 year old when this first aired.I think we were still either in California (where I was born)or New Mexico which I have no memory. This was before my mother and father & me moved to Minnesota in late 1973 early 1974.

Wow, the guessing of the prices in the "true or false" was really hard-- the correct amount was only $15 different on (at least) one item. Luckily she made it and won a car!

Lol man.....1970s California was like being in a diffrent galaxy than California 2022..... And that Riverdance commercial brings me back to being a kid watching the game show channel at my grandma's house during boring summer afternoons......
