Very fond memories of this excellent track. (1988) 18, just passed my driving test. Driving along and "Crash" came on the radio. 15 seconds after it started I "Crashed" into the back of an HGV, and wrote my fathers car off. I have slowed down since then.

Most everything I have seen on You Tube with the Primitives is lip synched. This one sounds like the music tracked but the vocals are live. This group put out some great songs in their brief existence. This is one of them.

@porridgeeveryday Yeah...my comment was directed more to songs that sound american and convey what I might describe as a 'spirit' of what is , admittedly, perceived as conveying a sense of americana. I would say the same of the likes of Kim Wilde (Kids in America obviously) Bonnie Taylor (Total eclipse of the heart) Boys are back in town (Phil Lynott, although admittedly he was irish originally) the list is endless and includes the Beatles. Is wasnt a criticism. More like an observation.

The song is really great, and the studio version is incredible, but this live version sounds very flat, like me singing on a Karaoke... A little deception.

Jorge Crespo Many of the versions heard today were remixed in 1995 for the film "Dumb and Dumber" featuring additional vocals, guitar, organ and percussion, with no involvement from the band. I have an original 1988 CD of "Lovely" This version is very close to it.
