How do you pick a surfboard tail? Luke talks you through a few characteristics of different tail shapes and how best to utilise them. See below for a brief summary of the info:
- More width and over all area in you tail means better stability at lower speeds and more release through a turn.
- Less width a rail break offer more sensitivity and hold on rail which is great for faster more powerful waves.
- More angles and pivot points are best for quicker transitions and less angles and curve breaks offer more hold on rail - great for control when going faster!
