They are competing to profit on sales... those chargers right now even triple the electric cost.. and only a few thousa d to set up.. it is to profit and force people to shop nearby.. there is a huge lack of them amd even ford and gm had to sign a deal with tesla for tesla supercharger tech last July..

My prius had a 1.3 kwh battery and my Nissan leaf has a 40 kwh battery. So the ratio is not 1:90 more like 1:30

the problem is for those with EVs that dont use walmart, or dont want to deal with a busy crowded walmart traffic parking lot just to charge their car. EVs suffer from inadequate charging networks not only by available and reliable chargers, but their locations utterly SUCK and are HIGHLY inconvenient.

If a Walmart employee can afford a gas car, then he or she can afford an electric one, as EVs are now getting cheaper in overall costs, then ICE cars! You can now find excellent second-hand EVs for those who cannot afford a new one. I know, here in France, one guy earning minimum wage, but who could count... who bought himself a second-hand, former taxi, Tesla Model S. It costs him LESS, in overall costs, than the small French diesel compact he had before. Get yourself better informed!

Factualy untrue. Evs are much more expensive than ICE or even HEV. And much worse for the environment by most all reasonable standards. EVs are a niche disaster forced upon people by racketeering and governments

There is no such thing as an "excellent second-hand EV". Who knows what the condition of the battery is? EV batteries can be damaged by minor accidents or scraping over a kerb or something on the road. They can be destabilized without any damage being visible. Only an idiot would take on such a risk, unless they get it for practically nothing.

@@daleviker5884 With the suitable app and a Bluetooth OBD hook-up, you can instantly have a pretty good idea of the battery health. A full battery diagnostic can VERY EASILY be done by any suitably equipped shop. No, batteries cannot be "damaged by minor accidents or scraping over a kerb...", they are very well protected. It takes a pretty major accident to compromise their safety... something that would probably total any vehicle. The risk of buying a second-hand EV with a bad battery is not any higher than that of buying an ICE vehicle with an engine, or transmission, ready to give up the ghost. No way to know that with a $100 diagnostic, while the battery can be thoroughly checked (at least in Teslas... I don't know if it is the case for all brands) That is one more wrong problem, spread by the on-going rabid disinformation campaign!

According to Toyota, car owners loves the engine oil leaks, smell of petroleum and noise from combustion from its ICE vehicle. To Toyota, the more moving parts mean more and higher profits. That is why they are pushing for hybrid. You will end up paying repairs for 2 different components.

Funny thing is, electric cars are still far less reliable than Toyota cars as we speak!
