I was wondering why no one was using something like this a few years ago when looking at control arm kits. Then I saw the LZ shop your video and ordered two smooth adjusters to incorporate in my own designs. (To be clear, the designs are for cars you don't have products for.)

Make the jam nut and the washer in one piece and put a small shoulder into the washer side, that way you can incorperate more thread and the construction will be stiffer.

I just tested out my FDF kit and I love it. I wasn't super happy at first, but once everything "broke in" after a few laps, it felt great. It would be a huge pain to install and setup if not for the smooth adjusters, which is one of the main reasons I chose FDF
@FDFraceshop

Yea the heim joints are a bit tight out of the box but glad you gave it a chance to break in! We always recommend so scrub in laps before drifting on a new kit 🤙

One concern I have is the bare metal on metal contact. I'm not a current customer, for whatever that's worth, but if I was in the market I would feel better seeing a grease fitting on there if I was putting one on my drift/race car.
@FDFraceshop
7 күн бұрын
antiseize yes, grease no. much like a thread on a tierod it doesnt need to be lubricated. once tightened to its intended adjustment it needs to stay there. grease would be more for moving parts like bushings, bearings and ball joints.

What if you machine a groove in your smooth adjuster and drill a hole horizontally at the top of your loop. Use like a trailer hitch pin style pin clip to hold the smooth adjuster in place while you're making adjustments and assembling
