Kris McCauley How much money did you spend on your first wholesale order? Is $500 for a first wholesale order enough?

every supplier has a different MOQ. $500 should be enough, it just depends on who you buy from.

Yo! I just wanted to comment and say I am truly grateful of your willingness to go into detail about the steps involved and the things that you should do/ say along the way WITHOUT trying to send us into the direction of a $1,000 course that you are promoting... I know you could easily package this info into your own course to sell and you are choosing to help people out instead. Thank you!!!

Hello from the Bronx. Very nice video. Thank You! I've been negotiating with suppliers from Alibaba for some time now and have been utilizing some of your tips for a while. Will also utilize some of your tips that I have not been doing, such as asking for any monthly promotions that suppliers may have. I've found that a lot of these suppliers need us to buy their items just as much as we need them. So negotiation is definitely the key and also building relationships too.

Excellent tips Larry, i have done many of these but will get even more aggressive asking for discounts. This will help as I am escalating my wholesale business. Currently I am doing $50k/month and am aiming to escalate 40% per month in an effort to reach my $10 million stretch goal. Keep the great videos coming!

Hello Larry. Thank you for this video and in general all your videos. It's nice to see someone keeping it real and offering valuable information to other Amazon sellers (and you're right about all the phonies, wannabes, and shysters flooding cyberspace these days). I was wondering if you could add a transcript to this video. It saves me a lot of time when I can highlight things for future reference, rather than having to make notes from scratch. BTW, I am also on the list for the next time you open up the wholesale academy, please keep me in mind!

Thanks for the video, your info is really helpful to those of us starting out. I just started emailing companies for the first time last week. Since 4/2/18 I have emailed over 75 companies. Out of that, 16 have responded so far, only 3 said yes. 1 of those would not negotiate prices, so they were out, another one I haven't negotiated with yet, and the third is looking at getting back to me about a discount on 2 items that would work to wholesale. Quick question, I noticed its hard to get an "across the board discount" on all their items (to make it easier to scrub the wholesale lists). Any tips on moving them from "what product and quantity were you interested in?" to moving them towards "we can offer you a X% discount on our wholesale items across the board"? Once again, great videos... thanks for taking the time
@WatchMeAmazon

Pickn Paid some vendors don’t discount. That’s ok, I would still check their products. Some don’t don’t do across the board. And it varies by brand. Just have to manually plug in the discounts to their list

I did exactly that on a product from a supplier in china that was $750 for 200 units I actually showed them that I can buy the exact same product on Ebay for $600 Free shipping and they actually beat the Ebay price by 15% so it definitely pays to be on your toes there's room to dicker with suppliers, And even if your a newbe Act like you've been in business for years

Thank you for the video. It motivated me to contact some suppliers which I have given up with, because their initial offer was not attractive for me. If I am lucky maybe one of them get's into nagotiation with me and this will result in a new product in my inventory. I am still jealous for your numbers. I am already very happy if I find a product whith a 2€ profit. Price competition is crazy in Germany. The margins are really thin. If I get 200€ a month out of a product, it's already a great success for me. I am thinking about a new strategy. Found some opportunities with parallel Imports to other countries where I can make similar numbers you mentioned. If it works out, this will be a big break through for my business.

Great video. Why don't you have your distributors send direct to amazon? Wouldn't that make it easier?
@WatchMeAmazon
6 жыл бұрын
Noam Adler a lot of times it makes it harder. Products need to be prepped before sending to amazon. Bagged, labeled, packaged a certain way, ect. Most vendors won’t do that. Boxes need special labels, pallets, all that kind of stuff. Waaaay to easy for them to F it up and ultimately you’ll be blamed for it

Nerio Nuñez good thing is you won’t have to. You’ll only have to spend money on actual good products that you find, and the fact is you probably won’t find 50k worth of stuff from your first supplier. If you did, that would be great - but chances are you won’t. I would just frame the question as “if I’m doing large business, like placing 20, 30 thousand dollar orders, what type of discount can I expect to see”
