Compress snow by pressing out the air of the snow. The Snowcuber helps airports to maintain their stand capacity, ensures a safer operation and reduces costs and emissions.

This is a great idea. One of the biggest challenges facing a city or airport for snow removal is simply space to store it and trucks on hand to move it. Reducing the volume by removing the air to create a denser final product to move and store makes perfect sense.

yep, but why use a tech that already axist when you can waste time and money on a completely new tool XD hahaha. just using one of those 500hp cat snow blower they got in montreal and the job would be done. also for plow there is a new concept it's a tractor with a double blade, like the one used for highway, but there is also a trailer that pivot sideways adding a third blade

They say "lower the amount of dump trucks" but if you are compacting the snow to be able to put more into the truck, you are then increasing the amount of weight in the load (by 4x). I find it unlikely that anywhere there is an "International airport" will there be reduced weight regulations for travel on public roads to move the snow!
@cevan4156

Snow weighs roughly 1/4 of a dump trucks cargo weight. If this machine wasn’t such a laughing stock, it would work, in theory.

The speed to load snow into a truck is a maximum of 5 km/h. The capacity is 500 t/h. You do not need more capacity for truck loading. It is all about safe loading. Please visit our website for the latest snow compressor. www.snocom.com

Firstly, you'd need some gargantuan batteries to store enough electricity to power the megawatt class heating grid needed to thaw several square kilometers covered up to a half meter of snow, or even more. Charging the batteries would be a challenge in northern areas where there's little to no sun in the winter. Easier to just shovel it off the runway and then throw on some salt and it'll clear up nicely.
