Arizona's share of the Sonoran Desert includes several highly contrasting faces, but none are more iconic than the Saguaro cactus, and the must-see Saguaro National Park. The park actually comes in two sections - one just east of Tucson (which actually lost a lot of its Saguaro to big freezes in 1937 and 1962) and the other to the immediate west, which is more plentiful for this mighty cactus.
