This popped up in my recommended today, Nov 16, 2022, exactly 20 years later. Crazy to think how the world has changed in 20 years, and how one thing that has not changed is the way these songs continue to connect with people. Music is incredible that way.

Bobby lee said in a podcast that after the concert the strokes were past out on the floor of his dressing room from the drugs they took from a bowl that Bobby left out.
No one can delay a song as well as Jules does and make it sound good. I love how he lengthens the “it” on is this it and it still fits in time with the song, it’s like his little shtick

I saw the strokes live around 2004/5ish. Julian Casablancas is quite easily the most effortlessly cool person I have ever witnessed in my entire life. I wasn’t even a big fan at the time, he just had a presence that I’ve never seen before or since
