Soul Train brings me back to my awesome teen years. Listening to the show and watching the groups was always a treat. Love love the 1970's music and the clothes were awesome. Bell bottoms and l had a shag hair cut. This group should have been bigger than they were. Still love them 🎤🎹🎼💖❤💖❤💖

The parents started hustling with them early...late 50's till the 70's. Leon was a real musical talent and went on to produce some great RnB songs. Everybody tried to create the next Jackson 5.

I grew up with the Sylvers and the Jackson Five. Every time I hear the song "Cotton Candy" I experience some great memories! I'm glad I came up in that era of great music and entertainment. There's a video of the Sylvers which was recorded in 2017. And they still have the quality! Amazing!

When Prince( R.I.P) first came out he had a Sylvers ' fro too.I remember seeing him on the cover of Right On! with some short red shorts and assumed he was about 5'11" it wasn't till YEARS later I found out he was only about 5'4". That ' fro fooled me

You know every time I listen to The sylvers the first thing I do is I will put a thumbs up, then I will look to the right and see how many thumbs are down, and then I wonder what do these people look like putting their thumbs down, I think they're probably jealous or miserable, and ignorant the silvers are one of the together families who stick together that's very rare even in this day and time you don't hardly ever see families together doing things anymore so I think it's very cruel to put a thumbs down on someone who is star status.

I've been a fan of Leon Sylvers as a producer and songwriter ever since the Solar Stuff in the early 80s. (Shalamar, Whispers, Dynasty etc.) But, I actually didn't know he was such a good singer and performer *in his own right* in the 70s. Limitless talent!

This was one of THEE BEST groups around!! My favorite (and youthful crush) was Olympia! Did she ever sing any leads on any of their albums? I know she has acted in a movie.

Olympia sang lead along with Leon on the duet called, "Ain't No Doubt About It." That song is on their "Something Special" album. I agree with you about them being one of the best groups around.
