Hello 50 000 subscribers! I couldn’t find a way to organically include a behind the scenes update in the video, so I thought I’d leave a comment for those interested instead - I got a new camera! This video is the first one shot with it and was also edited with different software, so there may be a few kinks. I started shooting with the new camera without testing it too much, and after editing I realise there’s some things to keep in mind - some dodgy IBIS warping, incorrect focussing with the manual lens (which seems very tricky with a little digital screen!) Anyways, lots to figure out! Also my laptop is not built for these large files and it took three very long days to edit this one video. There’s some dodgy colour grading as well in the small and badly-lit rooms, which really bothers me and I hope to one day get better at correcting that. Not sure why I’m sharing all of this, but if anyone is wondering why I don’t upload every week or aren’t very active on social media - this is why. It took me 5 days to make this unit, about 40 hours editing the footage, and I have off and on freelance work as well. So it gets a little busy! Regardless, I hope you enjoy this video and I will catch you next time :)

And she wanted a cabin far from neighbours initially. A lesson for someone coming from a city like London that having good neighbours in the countryside is actually mutually beneficial. I really hate this idea we should all be so independent of each other that we need no-one else. All living in our little boxes on our own lonely atomised journey trudging through life...horrible. Yes to good neighbours and social connections!

As a woman who has moved a lot of furniture by herself, may I recommend the "sit and push with your feet" method? Sit on the floor, put your feet where they work best (usually mid-item) and push. You may have to push backwards with your hands against a wall or figure out another way to brace yourself, but your legs are probably your strongest part and so long as the item will fit in your spot, that seems to be the easiest way to move heavy things.

After that, put this beautiful and very useful structure in place. Well done Rosie! PS very kind neighbor!

I agree about the chimney comment too and that should be a feature Iand important to have that lovely fire going I think that is a Swedish requirement to have an authentic stove. I am so glad someone finally chopped the tree for you. As for the washing machine it is a lot less ugly than the big white goods you normally see and a lovely colour.
