As someone with EXTREMELY dry, eczema prone skin, I can confirm the Fenty fat water is a great product. I’m also extremely acne prone, and this did not make me break out. I also use the Naturium sunscreen and love it. It’s also sweat proof, I ran 7 miles in warm weather last week and it didn’t budge.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this review ninz! I have the same skin type and have been STRUGGLING with finding good products that don’t break me out or cause my eczema to flair up while also moisturizing my dry skin. My skin used to be so oily but as I’ve hit my mid 40s it’s gotten more and more dry. I’m gonna give these products a try. Thanks so much to Nikki as well for making this video! How about us sensitive/reactive skin people? Not calling you out..I am genuinely interested in what you would recommend. The L'occitane for instance has perfume in it which my skin immediately reacts to.

I think it'd be tricky for her because she once mentioned having pretty bulletproof skin in regards to reactivity. Maybe she could let us know what's affected clients and friends during her career/life. The problem with us sensitive/reactive types is that many of us have different sensitivities, State of Kait says she has one of the most sensitive skin types out there but I notice she can tolerate quite a few ingredients that I can't. Maybe you could check out some of her skincare videos, because she factors in fragrance etc. After browsing reddit for months I realized there almost isn't a single product that is tolerated across the board. I react to things that aren't known to be allergens or harsh etc, but can tolerate something like lanolin for example, which is a known one! It's trial and error for the individual unfortunately, which makes it expensive and frustrating :( quite a few years back I tried a number of products formulated for sensitive skin and couldn't tolerate almost all of them, it's tough for us!

You didn't include sunscreen in the part for the severe oily skin part, and I know the struggle to find one. All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk SPF50 by MISSHA brings a matte finish and sits nicely under the foundation I use ( the Dior Matte), so if you're not familiar with it, you can give it a try :) . In addition, I would be happy if you would recommend cream/liquid blushes that have a cold tone that is suitable for fair skin and that suitable for very oily skin 🖤

This is gold!! 💛🌟 I wonder if you could do skin prep/ makeup application on each skin type?? I would love to see how you make it all work for dry etc. I struggle with doing my makeup it looks great then I go out in natural lighting it looks like it's sitting on top and not soaking in and it can be super embarrassing. It's always Russian roulette. I've been doing makeup forever but still struggling with this from time to time... I need a set routine, without fail that I can rely on. Your 100% correct, if I personally skip the skin prep it never ends well. Even if your crunched on time you've gatta prep. It's almost more important than the makeup if you want the makeup to even look good..... Then good lighting and a good mirror, I'm upgrading my set up any day now. That's another thing that will turn around to bite you later, when you literally cannot see when your putting the makeup on!! Again almost more important than the makeup of you want it to actually look good lol 😂😂. The struggle. 😅

It’s a gel like cream that just liquifies when it touches your hand, so it feels like I’m just “watering” my face when I apply it, so no danger of removing makeup. Plus it feels cool against the skin, such a relief when it’s hot. I’ve never had a sunscreen do all those things before, I’m floored. And a little obsessed lol.

Hi Nikki! I really hope that you see this and manage to respond because I've been trying to figure out if I should proceed with purchasing the Naturium Dew-Glow Moisturizer that you suggested for my dry skin. However, due to the humid weather here (I live in the Caribbean), I am worried that the sunscreen would potentially not melt into my skin and dry down nicely. I have had issues with moisturizers or sunscreens in the past creating a film on top of the skin, leading to sweat underneath. It's honestly a struggle having dry skin but also being prone to sweating on my face depending on whether I am in an air conditioned room or not lol. I do love and prefer a dewy finish but I just don't want to be overly shiny or trigger sweat. Please do let me know what you'd suggest in that case! I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

@MakeupByNikkiLaRose, I am desperately in need of some help with my prep and whether to use some things together. I will be 44 in a couple weeks and have been on chemotherapy for three years straight so most of my skin is dry but I do seem to have oily eyes all around. Both morning and night, I use the Fat Water by Fenty. In the mornings, I use a brightening, moisturizing eye cream that reduced puffyness. Here is where is get confused. I have a vitamin C truth serum by Oleohenrickson that I would use in the mornings. I now also have a moisturizer and repair serum by No 7 that says you can use it day and night but not sure if I should use it day and night. I also just received the Naturium serum with Retinal. I don’t know if I should use ALL of those serums together (I know start the retinal every few days to reduce irritation). After the serums, I have a No 7 day cream with added spf and at night, I alternate between an ELF gel moisturizer and a Glow Recipe moisturizer with AHA and BHA in it. I’m just learning about skin care and now I’m confused about what I can or should be using together, especially the serums. Thank you to anyone who can help me.

Hi Nikki ✨, I need some advice because I have problems with my foundation and prep skin issues. I start prepping my skin with an oily cleanser and then I finish with La Roche Posay Toleriane, also I use the Klairs toner continue with the ordinary hyaluronic acid, and then I finish with La Roche Posay Duo + cream (I also tried from the ordinary their Niacinamide and also tried applying the Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Serum), but it seems it's to heavy on my skin and it peels. The thing is that I usually have oily skin but lately, my skin has somehow regulated and became normal to dry. I tried using the foundation Even Better Clinical Serum from Clinique, but it leaves a dry texture and it peels, it's impossible for me to make it work. What can I do? 😭😭

Do you shave your face? Serious question. I don’t know how you makeup artists look like your face has not a speck of hair. I’ve got little hairs everywhere - should I shave it to help prep for makeup?

Where you purchase the Bobbi Brown moisturizer? The only one available is the vitamin enriched one which you said is not the correct one. It’s not on Sephora nor the actual Bobbi Brown website?
