Lovely sounds! Are your running the fuzz before or after your volume pedal?

Pedal Steel > fuzz > volume pedal to avoid any buffers

After watching this video, I got a Plugin for my vintage ZB pedal steel and I LOVE it! I had gone through every drive and fuzz I own, which is a lot, and none of them worked well - until now.

Hi Scott, the pedal sounds amazing, I'm sure your playing has something to do with it too. Back in the early 90s I met a fantastic steel player called Ray Kedge. He was the first player I'd ever seen to use some overdriven sounds on a pedal steel, on the English country music circuit where they can be very set in their ways he was playing things that blew me away.

@@ScottPoleyMusic I don't think there's a lot from Ray Kedge here on YT. He started his career back in the late 60s.

The solo in the beginning was amazing! I know close to nothing about pedal steel. This is interesting. :) Great video.

Nice expressive playing Scott. The pedal sounds gritty without losing the tone of the Rains

Had no clue that an instrument with fuzz could sound like heaven. Great playing and really informative. Maybe It's your playing but Pedal Steel seems so underrated.

Thank you kindly! I use it in a different way to a lot of other steel players. Consider subscribing for more pedal steel content like this coming soon 👍

Love me the sound of fuzz on a pedal steel. The late, great Sneaky Pete Kleinow used fuzz as the backbone of his sound.
