I'm going into my 60th guitar year and it does my heart good to see such great rhythm, harmony and EXCELLENT improvisations in step with REAL melodies. I watch Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Steven Colbert in a vain effort to hear one musical guest who has ANY concept of melody. I thought it was just me, but I heard B.B. King in one of his last interviews say the melody in modern music was MIA.

Well, what else can you expect from late night wannabe's who haven't the slightest clue as to what they are supposed to be doing? Johnny Carson NONE of them are! TOTAL waste of time and electricity.
I wonder why this show is titled Made in Japan, this show is from Doc Severenson's Club which is in the U.S. Nice performance for sure by these legendary musicians, thanks for posting!!

is that the usual Bob Bogle playing bass there I wonder? His movements are very much like him, but his face appears different.
Bob Bogle was unable to attend because he had a skiing accident shortly before this concert.
