1 In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. 2 Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. 3 The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 4 Master of the Day of Judgment. 5 It is You we worship, and upon You we call for help. 6 Guide us to the straight path. 7 The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger, nor of those who are misguided. 1 Alif, Lam, Meem. 2 This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous. 3 Those who believe in the unseen, and perform the prayers, and give from what We have provided for them. 4 And those who believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 5 These are upon guidance from their Lord. These are the successful. 21 O people! Worship your Lord who created you and those before you, that you may attain piety. 22 He who made the earth a habitat for you, and the sky a structure, and sends water down from the sky, and brings out fruits thereby, as a sustenance for you. Therefore, do not assign rivals to God while you know. 23 And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like these, and call your witnesses apart from God, if you are truthful. 24 But if you do not-and you will not-then beware the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the disbelievers. 25 And give good news to those who believe and do righteous deeds; that they will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with fruit therefrom as sustenance, they will say, “This is what we were provided with before,” and they will be given the like of it. And they will have pure spouses therein, and they will abide therein forever. 26 God does not shy away from making an example of a gnat, or something above it. As for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, “What did God intend by this example?” He leads astray many thereby, and He guides many thereby; but He misleads thereby only the evildoers. 27 Those who violate God’s covenant after its confirmation, and sever what God has commanded to be joined, and commit evil on earth. These are the losers. 28 How can you deny God, when you were dead and He gave you life, then He will put you to death, then He will bring you to life, then to Him you will be returned? 29 It is He who created for you everything on earth, then turned to the heaven, and made them seven heavens. And He is aware of all things. 30 When your Lord said to the angels, “I am placing a successor on earth.” They said, “Will You place in it someone who will cause corruption in it and shed blood, while we declare Your praises and sanctify You?” He said, “I know what you do not know.” 31 And He taught Adam the names, all of them; then he presented them to the angels, and said, “Tell Me the names of these, if you are sincere.” 32 They said, “Glory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us. It is you who are the Knowledgeable, the Wise.” 33 He said, “O Adam, tell them their names.” And when he told them their names, He said, “Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth, and that I know what you reveal and what you conceal?” 34 And We said to the angels, “Bow down to Adam.” They bowed down, except for Satan. He refused, was arrogant, and was one of the disbelievers. 35 We said, “O Adam, inhabit the Garden, you and your spouse, and eat from it freely as you please, but do not approach this tree, lest you become wrongdoers.” 36 But Satan caused them to slip from it, and caused them to depart the state they were in. We said, “Go down, some of you enemies of one another. And you will have residence on earth, and enjoyment for a while.” 37 Then Adam received words from his Lord, so He relented towards him. He is the Relenting, the Merciful. 38 We said, “Go down from it, all of you. Yet whenever guidance comes to you from Me, then whoever follows My guidance-they have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve. 39 But as for those who disbelieve and reject Our signs-these are the inmates of the Fire-wherein they will remain forever.” 1 Alif, Lam, Meem. 2 God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal. 3 He sent down to you the Book with the Truth, confirming what came before it; and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel. 4 Aforetime, as guidance for mankind; and He sent down the Criterion. Those who have rejected God’s signs will have a severe punishment. God is Mighty, Able to take revenge. 5 Nothing is hidden from God, on earth or in the heaven. 6 It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills. There is no god except He, the Almighty, the Wise. 1 Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His servant, to be a warning to humanity. 2 He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, who took to Himself no son, who never had a partner in His kingship; who created everything and determined its measure. 3 And yet, instead of Him, they produce for themselves gods that create nothing, but are themselves created; that have no power to harm or benefit themselves; and no power over life, death, or resurrection. 17 Is He who creates like him who does not create? Will you not take a lesson? 18 And if you tried to enumerate the favors of God, you will not be able to count them. God is Forgiving and Merciful. 19 And God knows what you hide and what you disclose. 20 Those they invoke besides God create nothing, but are themselves created. 21 They are dead, not alive; and they do not know when they will be resurrected. 22 Your God is one God. As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are in denial, and they are arrogant. 23 Without a doubt, God knows what they conceal and what they reveal. He does not like the arrogant. 11 Originator of the heavens and the earth. He made for you mates from among yourselves, and pairs of animals, by means of which He multiplies you. There is nothing like Him. He is the Hearing, the Seeing. 12 To Him belongs absolute control of the heavens and the earth. He spreads the bounties to whomever He wills, or reduces it. He is aware of all things. 13 He prescribed for you the same religion He enjoined upon Noah, and what We inspired to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus: “You shall uphold the religion, and be not divided therein.” As for the idolaters, what you call them to is outrageous to them. God chooses to Himself whom He wills, and He guides to Himself whoever repents. 36 To every community We sent a messenger: “Worship God, and avoid idolatry.” Some of them God guided, while others deserved misguidance. So travel through the earth, and see what the fate of the deniers was. 25 We never sent a messenger before you without inspiring him that: “There is no god but I, so worship Me.” 26 And they say, “The Most Merciful has taken to himself a son.” Be He glorified; they are but honored servants. 27 They never speak before He has spoken, and they only act on His command. 28 He knows what is before them, and what is behind them; and they do not intercede except for him whom He approves; and they tremble in awe of Him. 29 And whoever of them says, “I am a god besides Him,” We will reward him with Hell. Thus We reward the wrongdoers. 47 O you who were given the Book! Believe in what We sent down, confirming what you have, before We obliterate faces and turn them inside out, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers. The command of God is always done. 48 God does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives anything less than that to whomever He wills. Whoever associates anything with God has devised a monstrous sin. 170 O people! The Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord, so believe-that is best for you. But if you disbelieve, to God belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. God is Omniscient and Wise. 171 O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion, and do not say about God except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, is the Messenger of God, and His Word that He conveyed to Mary, and a Spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not say, “Three.” Refrain-it is better for you. God is only one God. Glory be to Him-that He should have a son. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and the earth, and God is a sufficient Protector. 172 The Messiah does not disdain to be a servant of God, nor do the favored angels. Whoever disdains His worship, and is too arrogant-He will round them up to Himself altogether. 173 But as for those who believe and do good works, He will pay them their wages in full, and will increase His grace for them. But as for those who disdain and are too proud, He will punish them with an agonizing punishment. And they will find for themselves, apart from God, no lord and no savior. 174 O people! A proof has come to you from your Lord, and We sent down to you a clear light. 175 As for those who believe in God, and hold fast to Him, He will admit them into mercy and grace from Him, and will guide them to Himself in a straight path. 85 Whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. What if you give and they want more
@mojojojo2524

that's a simple-minded way of looking at things. if you give things to people who only know how to take, you made yourself a slave to them, working to feed them while they continue as they always have, doing nothing productive. war can just as easily start from giving. people are generous and give, the receivers only take, and the givers become resentful over time. this resentment leads to hatred, which leads to killing or war. instead of the idea of peace starting with simply giving, which is just christianity in a weak disguise, it's more moral to engage others in mutually-beneficial relationships and exchanges.

@@mojojojo2524 Exactly. Narcissists and psychopaths' thirst for money and power can not be satisfied. It's dangerous to believe love and giving will heal these conscienceless people. They are not like us. They don't have souls. The few people who truly want war are the same people that never actually go to war themselves - they are charismatic narcissistic psychopaths that rope plenty of enablers and ignorant (or poor) people into their inner conflict and bottomless greed for control. What this guy preached make sense - but only to non narcissistic, non psychopathic people. What we need is to educate good-hearted innocent people to not end up doing the bidding of evil people. Don't join the army, don't support any war related production and don't pay t axes - most t axes goes to war. Be as independent as you can in producing your own food, so you don't depend on the deeply corrupt system that enslaves individuals into supporting war. We must not feed the monster.

@@harryhalfmoon The addicts of power are stronger than ever. Perhaps that’s the con. That people can hide away or run away from addicts of power while they continue to regulate everything away from “good” people. Those who got thrown in camps back in the day did what you did, ran to other countries, and helped other people. Let’s stop pretending these addicts will stop at “enough” this is about control and filling their emptiness and fear with power

Ive come upon this fundamental conundrum ive heard no one be able to answer. That is this terrible and horrific necessity for endless military expansion in order to maintain self defense. I look at what happened to Tibet to see that in this world animal strength and domination triumphs over spirituality. The Tibetans could not defend themselves against China's military. This is the crux of this conundrum, in order for America, for example, to maintain military competency it must continuously fund and evolve its military. If it does not, then America could be conquered and subsumed by an enemy nation. Because America is expanding and evolving its military, so is the enemy nations in response. This is basically like inevitable catastrophe and I see no way of stopping it. Of course with the Advent of the nuclear bomb war against major nations will be unconventional and turn into the cyber space, the cultural sphere, bioterrorism or espionage and the attack from within. We are looking at a new frontier of warfare, and these areas in turn must be continuously honed in and upgraded. Am I justifying this? No it's a bloody nightmare, but I see it like an unstoppable chain reactive steam roller

@@brightmooninthenight2111 You've been brainwashed into thinking that you have to have military expansion for security. All you need to do is stop being greedy and trying to take things from other people and keep yourself to yourself. Most people on the planet simply want to do an honest days work to support a warm family, and have a few cold ones at the weekend. They don't want to fight you, they're too busy enjoying this beautiful life.

Agree. It's destruction all the way around. But narcissists and psychopaths don't see that. They only care about themselves and what makes them feel powerful, which is usually a win-lose situation - they win and you lose - they love to play god and dictate what happens to the little people. @@DaveTan65 I learned to do without. Just substitute a bean burrito. For me it was the fish sandwich with tarter sauce as my final link. Watch some Joey Carbstrong to bolster your spine. It is interesting to find out ancient Egyptians were mostly vegan according to tests of mummy hair samples. They lived on the river and didn't even molest the fish. The diet of pyramid builders was an issue of beer, bread, and onions. Compared with that meager fair we are blessed beyond compare. Though alcohol is also a poison of course. Fortunately I have a regular issue of mary jane to take the edge off of life. Yes, I did suffer existential angst to be sure.

@@abdulali8738 I keep a copy of the Blessed Qur'an at my own bedside. It is far more abbreviated than the Bible. The Qur'an is more in conformance to Ma'at than the bible. So it resonates in our own .heart. Still the Qur'an deviates in matters. Such as obscuration of Ma'at or Mom or the feminine role of creation. Also Islam persecutes its own godmen, as Mohamed is called the seal of the prophets. Surely Mohammed lived the laws of Ma'at as he was permitted to do. Much respect.

85 Whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. fine words Jon. greed is pointless, it doesn't make you happy, it actually makes you unhappy. when you have enough for your life thats enough. the minority who own most of the wealth and power make the rest of us work hard to make their money, then tax us, then they make us fight wars for them. if we are to take on anyone it should be that minority.

I spent a short time in TA officer training, a part time earner alongside education. I enjoyed the activities and the feeling of being part of something, and having comrades. But when it came to thinking about it longer term, I decided I just didn't want to kill or be involved in killing anyone. They seemed sad but very understanding of my reason to leave (they may have been different if I was male, but I appreciated their kindness about it).

Thank you Jon, for speaking the much-needed truth about war, hard to accept that there is still so much that humankind needs to learn! We must know how to prevent and avoid and refuse war, and the details of how to stop such narcissistic, greedy people who lead us into wars because they profit from war. We are far more than these bad ones - so we must take our powerful energy back and insist that we all must live with peace, harmony and balance on earth.

Mankind is lost! Not many walk in the path of righteousness! We have all become the person and a selfish one at that! We have gone backwards in all stages of so called progress too, including technology! We worship idols and false gods..... We need to find that path again or it will not end! One is right when they say that the trauma is passed down the bloodlines. Thank you for your post!

I do wish I could speak to you, as much as you speak to me. To thank you for speaking your mind. And to thank you for helping others understand such important things. When you speak to people, I sometimes come and hear it. This particular message spoke to me in more ways than one. I looked not only at others but at myself, and as you spoke about war and peace, I started looking at my own self. I became aware of my feelings, and said beginnings of war, I want to begin peace instead because of your words. People such as yourself help so much, even for people like me, so far away. Love goes a long way. Thank you, Jon Jandai, I don't always get to listen to you, but when I do, it is so very helpful.

That's what I call a perfect symbiosis - you have people who want to give and then you have people who want to take. And regarding the war machinery - the mechanics behind it is far more complex and evil than most of people can hardly imagine, grasp, and process. It's not only about greed, it's about power and control - once you tame these two beasts, you don't need war - people will willingly and happily give up on their natural resources, assets, and even their personal freedoms, alongside with praising their tyrants, oppressors, and dictators.
