I remember getting several phone calls that night from high school friends since I play keyboards and my name is also Tim Gorman. I guess they thought because the concert was in Toronto and I reside in Ontario that it may have been me. Made me smile. :) It was surreal to see my name appear on the credits at the end of the broadcast.

Oh, this is great. I had the VHS of this show and it was edited and whatnot. It's interesting to see different angles and the between the song banter that was edited in the one I had. My VCR always used to eat the tape up and the first two songs were so pasted and re-edited that I still see in my mind's eye the streaks and edits my local tape place did to save the tape. this was around 1985-86 and I watched this show literally hundreds of times. Very cool! Nice to re-live.

I wasn't at this show but saw them at Maple Leaf Gardens on May 5, 1980. The thing about this concert is that scalpers took a beating. No kidding. I remember there was a write-up in one of the Toronto newspapers reviewing the concert. In it they mentioned that ticket scalpers ended up getting stuck and eating a lot of money. Apparently no one showed up looking for tickets. I assume that's because people would have thought they'd be too expensive or something. If I remember correctly some scalpers literally could not _give_ their tickets away. People would be walking down the sidewalk and the scalper would ask them, "Do you want to see The Who? For free?" The scalper might be standing there with ticket in hand, ready to give it to them, and they'd just keep on walking by. The fact that it was being broadcast likely had something to do with it, i suppose. But still, it still brings a smile to my face and makes me chuckle when I think of it. I'll bet the scalpers were sure crying in their beer that night.

Jones was an excellent drummer, more technically sound that Moon. But that's what made Moon great. His mad cap drumming was what the Who needed and nobody else could drum that way. At least until Zak was ready.

Kenny is a great drummer in his own right! Moon's drumming was unconventional and a extension of his own personality with the volume turned all the way up. Kenney without question got a raw deal with they way he was treated and remembered with The Who!

Saw them live in Toronto 2019 when they toured with a concert band backing them... added another dimension to their music. A side comment... watch at 1hr 14 minute mark as Roger *runs* in time with the music, and still manages to belt out the lyrics to Who Are You.

Special thing about this tour was the heart of it was the "It's Hard" material that they only played on this one. Somewhat parallel to "Who's Next" in melody/harmony mixed into the hard rock. Did anybody ever do it like this? Nobody has ever exceeded their use of synthesizers since "Who's Next" and that was over 50 years ago!

Didn't realize how big a following they had in North Americas. You wish that Moon had got into the 80s when the 70s mayhem stopped & he'd settle down with wife & moon-kids. Kenny doesn't do too bad in creating that Moon drum hitting & sound & it's hard too do his drumming style a complete one off. Moon wasn't a technical drummer. He, Moon couldn't do a basic drum roll but sound only he done his idiosyncratic version. Moon could only be a Who drummer, marriage made in Heaven & Hell.

Cutting away to roger with his back to us while Pete's singing, Pete goes into a windmill and cut to a wide audience shot... Roger starts swinging his mic and cut to Kenny drumming the beat... talk about Deaf, Dumb and Blind !
