Instructions unclear. My brother’s couch doesn’t have enough room for my wife and 2 kids. He also complained about feeding my family.

.. It's understood that "SELLING" can be very lucrative .. The problem is that it initially seems to be such an uphill long road to success and most people are so focused on getting properly and equitably compensated for time worked .. And then those who've "half-ass" tried selling with no real immediate success usually discourage others to even try because of their bad experience .. That's why for most people working for straight 100% commission without even an initial temporary base salary seems unrealistic and unreasonable ...

I agree. I'm 57, and with all modesty, have done pretty well. I have never had a salary, including the jobs I had working as a sales rep. for others. I owned a company for many years and my sales reps always had their choice of one of two pay structures , base plus commission, or 100% commission. Over many years, and even more employees, none ever chose the 100% commission, even though they could clearly see that on average they would have made considerably more had they been on 100% Commission. For a lot of people, whether it be due to life circumstances, age, or preparedness for the particular job, working for 100% commission is not tenable.
